This symptom suggest that your seal is leaking somewhere - check seal around the door/drawer and repair or replace as needed.

very rare - leak from ice cube maker - check if there is leak from it - especially on this little hose on the bottom (older model) or seal on the container (newer models) - this usually rend to form ice directly under the container or on the door - not on the remaining space.

hope this will help you solve the problem - do not forget to vote...

disregard comment about thermostate - if thermotate is at fault - everything is frozen or nothing is frozen, thermostate do not cause ice formation on the shelving or containers. disregard remark about de-frosting required - this machine is self-defrosting, DOES NOT REQUIRE DEFROSTING BY THE USER!, albeit i am defrosting mine about every four to five years...

Water leaking on freezer shelves no water in ice maker

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that the ice maker in your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS26H5AS, is not making ice and is leaking water onto your freezer shelves. Please make sure that your freezer is cold enough. Your freezer should be set at a temperature of 0 degrees F. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

How can I organize my kitchen, in specific my freezer?

i think the best thing to stay organized is to label all thebags in your freezer. when you put things to freeze make sure you write on the bag-what is inside the bag and what is the date you are freezing it. this keeps everything organized and then you know what you have in there.

Kenmore Refrigerator, water forming on glass shelves then freezing, little ice around the thermostate gauge area, banging sound once in a while.

next time send model number and say where the freezer is located top, bottom side by side,if it's a top mount, could be blocked drain, take back wall off in freezer, melt out ice under the evap coil with hair dryer, then i use a steamer to clean out drain line, slime forms in the drain and usually has to be blown out if you have some kind of plastic water line or something you can stick in and blow out that line,or try pooring hot water down drain, after you get it to drain call the local parts store and get a heater probe, this will keep the line from clogging in the future, hope this helps

defrost drain under coils in freezer is blocked or frozen with ice down in defrost hole. defrost hole with hairdryer but be careful not to melt the plastic.

Neverending ice cystals buildup in freezer

Hi Rachel,

Opened 3-10 times per day, per week, per month?

There is only one possible source of these ice crystals -- moisture precipitating from the air (condensate) -- this air is coming from outside the freezer. It's either getting in when the freezer is opened or coming in around the gasket.

You might try a very thin coat of vaseline on the gasket to get a better seal.

GE Monogram refrigerator/freezer problem/ice dam in ice maker

I have had the same problem with ice forming. I found the problem is from the ice maker. The water fill tube delivers water to a plastic piece that acts like a funnel. The water goes through this plastic piece into the ice maker. Ice forms in the plastic funnel piece causing the water to overflow into the ice bin and freezer.

Water collects on shelves and below the crisper bins at bottom

Your defrost drain hole is frozen closed.
Remove the back freezer panel and defrost the ice with a hair dryer.
Once the drain is clear poura 1/4 cup bleach in the drain hole.

Freezer burn on all foods when sealed by me or the manufacturer

You might need to turn the freezer temp. up a little. I think 0-10 degrees is good.
