Question about Sansui Televison & Video
The fact that the hair dryer allowed the set to come on tells me you have capacitors in the power supply that are leaky. I'd on the board as C1,C2 etc. The value of the part will be on plastic like caseing example 1000uf 25v. Look for a slightly domed top. That will be the bad ones. When replacing these make sure you put them in the same way as the ones that were in the set. They have a positive and negative lead. If you put it in reversed the new part will explode.

it could have over heated you can try to reset it first unplug it for about five minutes and try to turn it on if that dont work the remote might have a set button try holding that down until the red light flashes twice, then turn it on if not then hold the power button down on the set for a good five seconds to see if that resets it. if none of that works you will have to go to panasonic .com for the reset instructions.with the red light blinking the power supply is most likely good you just need to reset i.

Ok. I got my tv back on.
I pulled off the back cover and found the relay that was clicking.
I have two blue relays next to each other that click when the power is pushed.
I placed a hair dryer over the relays for about a minute.
Once heated up, it only took 4 tries to get the TV to stay on.
