Check ventilation at back of TV. Overheating can cause this.
Modern TV's are really Computers nowadays. So... they have CPU's & memory and connectors to everything.
The Electrolytic Capacitors in the Switch Mode Power Supply also get leaky and bulge. This causes the switchmode PS to shut down.
Unless your a Technician, there isn't much you can do.
