How do I fix a homedics BPA-201 Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. Or who do I send it to be fixed. It keeps displaying E1. But I checked all cuffs connections and they are fine.

Are you moving your arm at all after you press the start button. I just have a wrist cuff, but if I move anything after I've pushed the start button I get an error code.

Why does anOmron M7 Blood Pressure Monitor Cuff not fully inflate?

I have the BP760 model so I'm not entirely sure what the functionality differences would be. However from time to time I have had issues with the cuff not inflating. It is usually one of two things: the cuff is not positioned snugly enough on the arm (I have a skinny arm and sometimes need to enlist the help of a family member). The other time it has happened was when the inflation tube itself with so kinked and twisted that air could not flow through. You should also check to make sure that the inflation tube in securely connected to the unit. So make sure that the air supply from the cuff to the unit is not obstructed, and that the arm cuff is positioned properly and that you are not trying to put the cuff on over clothing. If you've checked all of this and/or you receive the error message of "Er", you should contact customer service. Hope this helps.

Neither of the cuffs on the Homedics S18729 Ultra-Deluxe Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor work. They do not fit well around my arm and constantly slip while inflating. I don't know if it is a design flaw...

Robert, I'm not sure that the cuffs would be interchangeable. But, I suspect the problem you're having with the cuff is operator error. Speaking from experience, it's somewhat difficult at best, to apply and arm cuff to yourself. It does take some practice, but if you can get the cuff snugly in place, it should inflate properly. If you want to pursue with interchanging the cuff, contact HoMedics at 800-469-3342, to see if it's possible. Perhaps, you should get a BP Monitor that has a wrist cuff. They're a lot easier to apply and use.

I take 4 consecutive readings (within a minute) and get 4 widely varying readings. How do I get an accurate reading with this device?

4 consecutive readings in a minute? No wonder you're getting widely varying readings. Your wrist or arm is not having time to recover from the constriction of the cuff. Try doing only two and waiting at least 30 to 40 seconds in between.

The best way to do it, is take one reading in your left arm and the other in your right arm. If they match or are within a few points of each other, the cuff is probably accurate.

Also, on your next visit to your doctor, take your cuff with you. After they take your vital signs at the doctors office, properly apply your cuff and compare your cuff's reading with theirs. If they are within a few points of each other that's fine.

More frequently my Omron HEM-780 seems flaky. It would apply pressure and count up to 112-120 then start deflating, then inflating, etc. Then it would count down by units and end up displaying E. It would...

Part of the problem may the the placement of the cuff. Generally, if it's not placed correctly. the cuff will re-inflate trying to find the correct stopping point for inflation. Any movement of your arm could cause this. Also, if you haven't replaced the batteries lately, you should do that. Also check to make sure there are no air leaks in the rubber tubing or the cuff. Check your Owners Manual for the exact placement of the cuff.

What does it mean when you get a reading then 3 consecutive readings say EE

What is the pattern of the EE? If the two E's are on the same line, then you didn't inflate the cuff to a sufficient pressure. (Wait 2-3 minutes before trying again and then inflate the cuff to 40 mmHg higher than the previous attempt.)

If the Es are arranged vertically, then you overinflated the cuff. Any [ressure above 300 mmHg is beyond the range that this bp monitor can handle. If you reached this point by getting several underinflation alerts, ask your medical professional to test your bp and recommend the starting inflation level that you need.

Make sure that you have the cuff on properly. You may need to consider a different bp pressure cuff size to get an accurate reading.

I hope this.

It keep giving me a ee reading every time i try to use it

Hi. One of the most common error symbol that appears on this display panel is a EE with a down arrow and two numerals. The reason for the EE Error Indicator is usually caused because the cuff has been wrapped too loose. The cuff was under-inflated during the measurement. This error will also display if the cuff is worn and needs to be replaced. The EE symbol with a down arrow indicates the cuff is over-inflated. In most instances the cuff has been wrapped too tight or you are using the incorrect cuff size. Turn the monitor off. Read the instructions to correctly apply the cuff. Wait five to ten minutes then take another measurement. This should correct the issue.

Does not inflate, even after NEW batteries and reset of data.

its seems like when you were doing the settings for your monitor you didnt take it back to the start position so you need to read the instructions from your papers and go back to the begining and restart all over with the settings, it seems like you have knocked off the settings somewhere which also controls the inflation of the cuff and the cuff will not inflate while the settings are not set right so restart from your instructions and see if this will help you. good luck!
