10 basic rules rules for hockey

1. The first player to accumulate seven (7) points wins the game.

2. When the puck enters and drops inside a player's goal, the player's opponent receives one point (unless play had been suspended by the referee or the offensive player had committed a foul during or prior to the shot.)

3. After each game, players will alternate tablesides.

4. The player scored upon receives possession of the puck for the next serve.

5. A player may hand serve the puck only after it has entered his goal.

6. A player may play with only one mallet on the playing surface at one time. Violation results in a foul.

7. The puck may be struck with any part of the mallet.

8. The puck cannot be "topped" by lifting the mallet and placing it on the top of the puck. This cannot be done at any time whether before a serve or after a serve during play. Violation constitutes a foul. Using the mallet to bring an airborne puck to the table or opponent's goal is not a topping violation no matter which side or edge of the puck is contacted.

9. Only one puck may be in play at a given moment.

10. A player has seven (7) seconds to execute a shot, which crosses the centerline. The seven (7) seconds begins as soon as the puck enters and remains on that player's side of the centerline. Violation of this rule is a foul.

What are the deck shuffleboard penalties?

Here is a list of shuffleboard penalties:

1. When players slides their own puck beyond the scoring triangle and into the "10 off" zone, 10 points are deducted from that player's total.

2. If a puck is knocked into the "10 off" zone by another player, the player whose puck was knocked into that zone will be deducted 10 points.

3. If a player's puck is touching the line of the "10 off" area on the shooting side before their puck is played, they will be deducted 5 points.

4. For any shot that lands on the sideline or off the side of the board will be deducted 10 points.

5. If any part of a player's body crosses the baseline while shooting a puck, that player is deducted 10 points.
6. If a player accidentally shoots another player's puck, they are deducted 10 points.

How to calculate deck shuffleboard points?

Deck Shuffleboard points are calculated after all the pucks are shot. Points only count if the entire puck is inside of one of the numbered scoring areas. If a player knocks another player's puck out of the scoring area, that puck is no longer scored. If a puck is touching the side of a numbered section, it is not scored.

What are the rules of Air Hockey?

Here are some basic rules as defined by the USAA:
  • A face-off or coin toss decides which player gets the first possession of the puck.
  • The first person to score 7 points by shooting the puck into the opponent's goal wins the game. When the puck breaks the horizontal plane inside the goal, a point is counted, whether or not captured by the electronic scoring device.
  • Once the puck is on a certain player's side of the center line, he/she has 7 seconds to hit the puck back across the center line. Otherwise a foul is committed and the opponent receives possession of the puck.
  • Placing one's mallet on top of the puck, known as topping, is a foul. Here the opponent receives possession of the puck.
  • A player cannot touch or strike the puck with any part of his/her body or with any object other than the mallet. Doing so causes a foul and possession changes hands.
  • If the puck is on a clear path into the goal and the player stops it with anything other than the mallet, this is goaltending. Here the opponent receives a free shot.
  • Hitting the puck when it is on the opposite side of the center line, or crossing the center line completely with one's mallet causes a foul. Here the opponent receives possession of the puck.
  • Red lines in the air hockey should not be crossed by the air hockey mallet. (Catalan Champion Chip)
  • If there is a red line on the goals, it means that you cannot keep the air hockey mallet behind the red line. (Catalan Champion Chip)
  • If the puck leaves the table, a foul is called on the player that caused the puck to go out of play due to offensive motion and the opposing player gets possession of the puck. Generally, when a player causes the puck to leave the table with a forward motion of the mallet, even defensively (known as charging), the foul is charged on them. An out of play foul results in the opponent receiving possession of the puck.
  • The players playing cannot touch the puck at any time during pl ay, but if one player scores they can put the puck in loser's side.

If you happen to have a friendly toolmaker with a small metal lathe it should not be too difficult to modify KITCHEN AID accessories that fit on to the front powwer outlet. However Puck Stand Mixer accessories are occasionaly offered on the Web. Meat grinders are very common and original Puck pasta maker have also been seen. Get searchin'!
