Changed batteries, and the doll is not walking or talking anymore.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

This is not due to any other fault than the sensor/ motion is triggered out of turn. It can be a dry/loose connection within the electronic unit. If you can get access through the battery compartment-- this is quite tricky as you might damage the doll if the clothing needs to be pulled out.
Unless the electonic section is checked the erratic operation cannot be confirmed.
Can be due to dry soldering in the board, if so a touch up of the suspected joints can be done.

Tips for a great answer:
All your baby has to do is hold onto the handle and start walking, and the toy will immediately play an amusing melody.
When your baby stops walking, the music stops playing, encouraging your baby to take a few more steps. The Baby Activity Walker doubles as an activity center that will stimulate your baby's imagination and coordination with amusing games, blocks, shapes, flashing lights, and sound effects.
