Hello William G , thank you for having answered, so the model is a Pfaff creative 7550 , it was sold for spare parts as for many years the machine was left laying in a corner , so all we have for the moment is the machine and a cable to plugg it to electrical source ; and once plugged and swiched on it simply does not react , the screen does not light up ; what could be the problem ? is it worth buying ? (it is not mine yet , it belongs to a junk dealer who sells it )

No make or model mentioned. Guessing, some models have fuses in bottom of machine in base, then again some have a couple back up 1.5 batteries in base which can leak and cause a disruption of an electrical circuit. Other than that take to certified repairman or contact me for more ideas, need Make and model. Thanks, hope it helps.

My brand new Singer 7463 will not sew, even though the lights, stitch settings, and everything else are completely fine.

The foot pedal is just a variable resistor to give you speed control of the motor
You say the machine is new so it will still be under warranty
have a service technician check it out
It could be a faulty control pedal or leads or motor

Machine left unused for a long time; (pedal & almost everything missing except the machine itself ;) The problem is : when the machine is plugged , the screen won't light up, it simply won't turn on

My Pfaff 7560 had done the same thing. It was determined that the mother board needed replacing. For either machine the part alone is around 600 bucks provided that one can be found. Labor wasn't factored in. I decided that if I was to invest that much money in repairs that I would buy a certified used machine that uses current technology. The 7560/7570's software doesn't work under Windows 7 or 8.

Is there an on and off switch for new home sewing machine model 592? every time I plug it in it goes by itself

LOL Most sewing machines have a power switch. Google for the users manual for your machine and read. it. More than likely your foot pedal is stuck in the ON position. check that first.

Bobbin won't wind - foot pedal working but bobbin won't turn ES2020 New *unused just stored since purchase from new*

Your new but stored machine has sat long enough that any oils from the factory have become gummy and or dried out. I would take it in and have the pros service it. But for now you might try....

Turning the hand wheel by hand while you press on the pedal. This MAY free up the machine enough for the motor to take over.

My janome sewist 509 is running really slow almost at standstill what can be causing this

could be the power cord not being plugges into the machine
enough or the power cord is going out
or it could be the foot pedal is going out
it would be a good idea to have the machine checked

I have a Bernina Nova sewing machine, and am unable to get the foot pedal to work. The light turns on, and it works by manually turning the knob. Is it the foot pedal that is at fault? Or have i missed a...

Some Bernina models have a three application switch.

Light, light and power pedal and just the power pedal.

Inside the machine, at the back of the tower is a circuit board. It could be the contact or wire is broken.
