its the battery. disconnect the battery, plusg it up and start you computer. the mouse and keyboard should work fine.

i have an hp nc6000 and my touchpad does not work anymore, i can restart it, and it will not recover, not sure what to do.

My finger pad freezes occasionally. I shut down, restart and it recovers. What can I do to keep the finger pad mouse from freezing?

I have a IBM Thinkpad T43. I usually use it as a desk top with attached external mouse but when in mobile mode I use the touchpad which I like. A few weeks ago I had a probem with the screen back lighting and had it fixed by IBM here in Japan. When I got it back I used the external mouse.
Then in mobile mode I discovered that neither the touch pad or the related click buttons were working. I don't know when this happened but wonder if the problems are related.
I checked the control panel items and the touch pad control panels are not live - as if the touch pad feature didn't exist at all - how do I recover them?

how do you instal he the drivers when ou can not use the keybard and touch pad. also i tried connecting xternal usb mouse and keyboard still it wont detect

Hi, the laptop is not shutting down properly, it gets frozen at "windows shutting down" and the keyboard and touchpad are not working despite rebooting.....the problem is persistent. Please help. Thanks in advance.
