How do we fix this? Please!!! I'd really appreciate an answer. My Dad is using trying to use it. He is fighting bre ast Cancer, on top of that his nasal drainage is causing him to cough and the only place he can sleep now is leaning at the kitchen table. Please Help

Hello DEBM, The problem with your television appears to be in the high voltage power supply or the low voltage power supply. The set tries to come on but the shutdown circuitry turns the TV off. The shutdown circuit is a protective measure put into place to prevent overcurrent and overvoltage conditions by shutting down the TV when these conditions exist. If you do not have a background in electronics, might I suggest that you have a TV technician to come to your location and work on the TV. I hope this helps Thabk you, Shuttle83

Hi Leanne,Bung stays in and you dont take it out until the red light (4th on right on top of unit) comes on, then you empty it taking bung out and use tube to get the water out. It will probably take some time (days of continuous operation) for the light to come on, depending on your humidity etc. For easy emptying, wheel the unit to a bathroom or outside where if it spills a bit it won't matter.
Ours is working okay although it just stopped blowing cold air and is only blowing room temp air. we have guests tonight and its hot! I came here looking for a solution to my prob and found yours!

SOURCE: Error Message
It's actually "Ft", which means "Full Tank". The instruction manual says to drain the internal safety tank through the drain hoses.
To drain the tank, open the cover on the rear of the appliance. Pull out the 2 drain hoses, take off the caps, and let all the residual water flow out. When all the water has been drained, place the caps back on the hoses and put the hoses back inside.
It also says you need to clean the filters and let them dry thoroughly before putting them back.
This is also the procedure for "End of Season Operations."
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: AC doesn't blow cold air
Threr are suppose to be two sounds comming from the window unit. One, the fan sound and the compressor sounds, (this compresses the refrigerants aove room temperatures (around 240*) & send it to the back coils and remove it to room temperatures and send it to the front coils which if enough freon, it will cool to at least 40*. Turn the thermostat all the way up or down while its off and see if you hear a clicking noise which tells you the thermostat is working which that what calls for cool. If it started loosing cools little by little, then you have a leak, and leaked all the freon out! If it stopped cooling all of once, then your compressor is not kicking in.
