They pull off the knob stems. Place a flat blade device, scraper or wide screw driver under any edge. Pry gently all around the knob. It will ease forward, then pop off.
If you have screw set type, look around the knob body for a set screw hole. If you have one; insert the unlocking screw driver or hex nut driver and turn until the knob slides off.

Set clock on ge profile gas range

Didn't give a model number, but try the following:

For a mechanical clock, push the center knob in and turn the clock hands to the correct time. (If the Minute Timer pointer should move also, let the knob out, turn the Timer pointer to OFF.)

For a digital clock, push in the center knob of the Minute Timer and turn Knob in either direction to set the Digital Clock numerals to the correct time.

For an electronic clock, touch the Clock pad. Touch the number pad. Touch the start pad until the time of day shows in the display. Note: On double wall ovens, you can only set the Timer for one oven.

Usually to convert the regulator you remove the knob in the center of the regulator by pushing it in and turning it. Then remove knob and flip it over and re install it there should be Nat and L.P. markings on the knob. Hope this helps.

I have a ge xl44 gas range. the oven knob has come off

You will need to locate your full model #, usually open the bottom drawer and you can see it on the chassis on the right or left side. Try searspartsdirect.com type your model in and it will give you a parts breakdown and about the best assembly view your going to get. Sometimes there is more to be desired but this should help. My son just bought a used Caloric self-cleaning gas range and the oven knob is high, med, and low. How does he know what the temp. is for setting the oven for baking?

Hi, It is the wrong knob. Do all the burner knobs look the same?
The oven knob has to have #'s on it so you know what hte temp is.
Please get me a model # and I can get you the part # for the knob you need.

Ge profile range knobs melt

Same problem as well. Hoping to buy universal fit parts as GE wants $16/piece (x6) to replace the knobs. They WILL NOT cover under warranty.

HORRIBLE SUPPORT, POOR QUALITY PRODUCT!

Want know how to open the top of range to clean?

This is not really meant to be done by user. If done incorrectly you could easily bend or break the gas lines to the top burners.

First you need to remove all the screws in the top burners and remove the burners. Then carefully twist out the ignitors. They do not necessarily have to be disconnected. Then remove all the knobs in front. and remove the manifold cover (that's the cover behind the knobs).

You will then be able to remove the screws that hold the top down and lift the top up high enough to clean under it. Lift this carefully though making sure that the gas lines do not bend when you do it.
