Have you check hydraulic fluid level in pump? Do you have the pressure washer tip in wand when trying if so tip could be clogged up.Also try starting up washer with pressure washer hoses disconnected see if water comes through pump if not then hoses could be clogged up. Had insect build nest in hoses and clogged them up now I hook hoses ends together when I store them. Also leave gun disconnected and see if water pressure comes through if so then gun is clogged up.

Idon't know why I'M answering you .I read about these people who have powerwashers and its mostly the same all of the time so I don't answer them because I don't want to insulte them .
But I owen and use these mechines in my bisness all of the time replace packings mabey every 10 years or so have serivel mechines big and small some over 30 yr old .
.And then I read from people telling you to replace the pump that will solve the problem .
Well I'm going to give you the secret
If you don't put antifreeze into the system before you store it .Then expect problems
The best thing you can do at this point is get as much light oil into the system that you can spray it into the water intake WD40 TIP THE MECHINE ON ITS SIDE .Then pull the started cord slowly with the ignition off let it stay for a few minitues then do it again this will lubercate all of the rusted areas and hopefuly bring the dryed out water seals back to life and get it pumping again.
The other big issue is the unloader valve likely bound up with rust and reglect. This the knob that adjusts the pressure witch is a nominal feature on any mechine because every body wants the MAX pressure thinks thats the best .I will tell you different if you don't move this valve it won't work any more and you don't need the MAX all of the time
Good Luck I just have a problem with equiptment being distroyed because of lack of information read your oweners manaul bet it dosn't say what I did

Pump check valve(s) or o-rings failure. Depending on the pump it might more cost effective to just replace the pump assembly.

Troybilt pressure washer won't run

If you ran the pressure washer without water running through it on startup you probably got your pump. You are supposed to engage the trigger on start up with water running through it so as to release the pressure off the pump so it will start easier. Hope this might help you.

Ex-Cell VR2500 Builds Pressure but Won't Spray

I have a similar problem and diagnosed it to be a problem with the gun. I spoke to a technician that services this pressure washer and he walked me through all the diagnostic steps. The pump is working because there is pressure being built up and the gun sort of works because you can get water out before the washer is started. The technician said that the mechanism inside the gun is either clogged or broken. I am going to Home Depot or Lowes to purchase a new gun and will try it tonight. Guns are only about $30-40. He said generic is fine as long as the thread matches and PSI is in range. Good luck!

Sounds like the governor is stuck. My pressure washer speeds up when it has to pump. Don't know if yours uses vacuum to trigger governor or direct linkage. Good Luck.
