Question about Radio Communications
When i release the talk button on my baofeng gt-3 two way radio, there is loud static on other radios in my group. this is not the case when they release theirs. is there a setting i can change to make this stop?
It can also be a setting in the squelch programming. I don't deal in Baofeng, but look for reverse burst squelch, 180, or some other ways to change the tone being transmitted.

Check to see if you have a beep (roger) setting turned on. Other than that, it may be something in the switching circuitry that is causing this. Are any of the other radios in you group the Baofeng GT-3? This is a real hard one to pin down without some hands on and test equipment.
