Usually If the car has an existing audio jack port you should be able to use an audio cord that has a male audio jack on both ends and it should work. Just make sure your on the right output selection on the car stereo. (Such as aux, cd, tuner,)

This is what dewalt is saying...The Dewalt 12V/20V MAX work-site charger/radio functions as an AM/FM radio and recharges your 12V/20V Dewalt batteries (batteries not included). Hello my car is equipped with a Sony CDX-L410X head unit and i want to be able to connect my ipod directly to the head unit. the head unit does not have an aux or usb port on the front does it have an...

Hello! Maybe I can help with your question. This model headunit does not support ipod control. It does not have rear or front inputs via 1/8mm jack that you could use the headphone output. You only have a couple of options here. First would be to purchase a wireless fm modulator that would transmit the ipod output through your cars antenna. (i.e. set the radio to 88.1, 88.3, etc) These can be purchased at Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, etc. The only other option would be to replace the headunit with a compatable unit. We sell a Kenwood for $139 that has a front USB port as well as the aux input. The USB on this unit reads droid phones and ipod. That model number is KDC-248U. Hope this helped! Good luck with your venture!

Iphone connection via usb

USB wires are universal, so No you shuouldn't need another wire.
My friend had a similar problem with his new AUDI 58 plate.
(shares the same "VAG" parts bin as your car)

He found that his new ipod was not compatible, and Audi said they need to upgrade their software. Audi dealer Re-imbursed him the cost of ipod.

check with your Dealer and find out which versions of ipod ARE compatable.
i've noticed quite a few things with Ipod compatibility dont support the iphone. & now there's a new iphone just to make things more difficult.
Good Luck.

Connecting earplugs to the computer

The two ports on the front are they by any chance on your CD drive? If so those used to be implemented way back when '98 was released. They aren't used quite as much anymore. If you look on the back of your computer though there should be two or more colored round ports:
  • Pastel pink: Microphone 1/8" stereo (TRS) Minijack
  • Pastel green: Speaker 1/8" stereo (TRS) Minijack
These are included on most computers and should follow a color code if not have a small image shown next to the port. In this case, you want to plug in your ear buds in the "Pastel green" port. If your using Windows XP your computer should recognize this change and allow you to hear instantly from those earbuds. Windows Vista on the other hand doesn't hop over if it has a known working audio device already in use, in that case you must

Step 1: Locate your task pane in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Playback options (I believe)
Step 3: Under "Playback" select your headphones from the list.
Step 4: Right click it and click "Set as default device"

No idea how to connect an iPod!

You need to buy an extra cable that connects to the back of the radio, it is ipod ready but you need buy the cable. The front USB port is just for mp3 or mp4 players that you can connect via a USB port.

In my 2009 Eos, I have the VW Navigation/Radio system with the MDI connection in the console. A cable with a USB end is connected to this. How do I get the system to recognize the iPod as an AUX device?

I had the same problem and I solved like a computer reboot. Go to set up in the navigation system and re-set the aux mode: stop it and then select it again. Your iPod via the aux will be recognized.

Charging of sony music plyaer

Hello vabs008,

The Sony MP3 player in question appears to come with ear bud headphones, an ear bud extension cord, USB cable, and software CD-ROM. It does not appear to come with a charger and would require that you have a device with a USB port to provide power to the unit. However you can add an aftermarket USB AC adapter such as this one to allow charging without connection to a computer.

Best Regards,
Ken
