Download the firmware, over a "wired" connection from your computer to your D-Link. Login to the router's built-in web-interface, and lick the "update firmware" link. Point to the downloaded firmware, and do the update.
atry changing the channel of your router. teh distance of the computer from the router affects the quality of your connection also. you may try updating the driver of your wireless adapter or if all wireless computers are experiencing same problem try upgrading the router's firmware. By the way make sure that there's no wireless devices that is 3 ft away from the router. it should be 5ft or more.
hi...
since you upgraded a different firmware try updating the firmware again with the correct firmware if it works fine if it doesnot then the router had gone bad,,
and for GeminiBS reset the router to the factory default since the firmware was not done in a proper manner may be it had interruptions..once the hard reset is done the computer is restored back to the default so that you can use the device..
Your router latest Firmware I can see on D-link website is 1.02 If you are referring to German web site page showing a dwl-g700ap_fw_revB_v213b06.zip file be sure to follow the instruction to UNZIP the web_dwlg700ap_v200_r11_0408.bin file: DWL-G700ap Firmware Update
If you did not unzip the bin file router cannot run it as firmware update More over be sure to run the update via LAN cable connection (no WLAN)
keep the subnetmask 255.255.255.0 it is almost always a default class C address. That subnet mask you are entering technically does not exist. . and make sure IPv4 is on the same subnet ex. ip 192.168.0.31 mask:255.255.255.0
You need to download the firmware form Dlink website. There are instructions there as well on how to update the firmware. You need to reset the router first. Press the and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds. After that, unplug the power for 20 seconds then plug it back in.
If you can get into the built in webpage to upgrade firmware I would suggest upgrading it. Sounds to me like corrupted firmware. If you can I would return the device. I had a similar issue with a linksys AP and I found out that the Firmware was scrubbed. Had to send it back to the manufacture.
