There are a lot of reasons why Windows errors happen, including having malware, spyware, or programs not installing properly. You can have all kinds of system conflicts, registry errors, and Active X errors. The registry on your computer will accumulate errors over time. It's just a fact of life in the computer world. This happens as programs are installed and modified, or even removed.

Over time the errors and conflicts begin to accumulate and add up, slowing down the effectiveness of your PC. When you remove programs from your PC, they don't always take out every single file, and some can be left there to interfere with your PCs functions. Most of the time people don't even realize this is going on. But over time, the evidence will appear. Computers need to be regularly maintained, just as you would a car.

We highly recommend downloading Reimage and using it to optimize the stability and performance of your PC. This software program has already proven its ability to locate and repair Windows errors. It can delete junk files, decrease your startup time, restore lost memory, defragment your hard drive, remove spyware and malware, and lots more. Reimage will get your PC running smoothly again, and make it a lot more fun to be using your PC by maximizing its total potential.

Somewhat depends on what "does not like" actually means. So far, I've not found any USB item that works differently on my Surface than on my laptop or desktop, Windows 7 or 8.

Is there an error message? What does it say?

How to upgrade a toshiba L305 to a 500gb hard without hardware failure error

I'm a bit confused? You are trying to install a HDD with Windows 7 on it from another computer in a Toshiba L305 laptop? If that's correct, it will not work, first, you must format the 500GB SATA HDD, then load the Windows 7 OS to get a clean install. Clarify the question if I am incorrect.

Getting error code F3 F100 0003 on a Toshiba Satellite L650 running on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit operating system. This code appeared before hard disk drive was replaced and continues to appear after a...

Hi Lea,

If you're getting the F3 F100 0003 error on boot-up, the problem might lie on three things. It's either the a bad HDD, Memory, or the video adapter (which is soldered on the motherboard). Since you already replaced the HDD, the problem might lie on the other two. If you can burn a disc to run diagnostics on your computer, you can use UltimateBootCD or Hiren's Boot CD (more info on the tools here).

I've also seen some errors when you are trying to re-image the HDD using the Recovery Discs and it may have some connection to the error message that you're getting. Here's a list below:

-An error has occurred: ERROR : 10-FC10-1710" -- may be caused by a faulty hard drive.--An error has occurred. ERROR : 10-FC12-0241" -- may be caused by a faulty hard drive or defective memory.
-An error has occurred. ERROR :10-FC12-045D" -- may be caused by a faulty hard drive.
-An error has occurred. ERROR :10-FC06-0002" -- may be caused by damaged recovery media or faulty hard drive.
-An error has occurred. ERROR :10-FC12-0970" -- may be caused by defective memory.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

How do you go about to format a toshiba l650 and reinstall windows 7

Hi! If you have the Windows 7 disc just insert it restart the computer. It will boot directly from the disc. Then follow the step by step instructions here.
If you don't have the Windows 7 disc, you have two ways to reformat your Toshiba computer.
Using Toshiba HDD Recovery Utility from the recovery partition
In case of a hard disk drive failure, you may be able to restore the drive to the factory default state using the on-disk Toshiba HDD Recovery Utility (in a special partition on the hard disk drive).
You can select restoring the entire hard disk drive to the factory default state, or restoring only the C: drive -- without affecting other partitions (for example, a D: drive) -- or changing the size allocated to your C: drive, and then restore it.
To recover your hard disk drive from a system failure using the utilities stored on your computers HDD, follow these steps:
  1. If the computer is running, shut it down -- by clicking Start, Shut Down, and again Shut Down.
  2. Press and hold the 0 (zero) key on your keyboard and then press the computers power switch. When the computer turns on, the Toshiba HDD Recovery Utility screen will appear, presenting three options:

Restore Original Factory Image (Recommended)
CAUTION:
Restoring a hard disk drive to its factory default state deletes all partitions on the hard disk drive and all data stored on those partitions. All of your files and information will be lost! Be sure to back up all important files first.
  1. Press 1 to restore your hard disk drive to its original factory default state. A confirmation message will appear, indicating that all data will be overwritten and lost during the restore process. Be sure to back up all important files before proceeding.
  2. Click Yes to begin the recovery. A message will appear once the operation is finished, indicating the HDD has been restored.
  3. Press any key to restart the computer.
* The options 2 & 3 are for advanced users.
Hard Disk Drive Recovery using Recovery CDs or DVDs
You may also wish to to run the Toshiba HDD Recovery Utility from Recovery CDs or DVDs that you have created.

Insert the first Recovery CD or DVD into your CD/DVD drive, and turn on the computer. Once the computer is running, the TOSHIBA HDD Recovery Utility screen will appear, presenting the same three options above. Again Press 1 to
restore your hard disk drive to its original factory default state. Click Yes to begin the recovery. Press any key to restart the computer.

Installing Drivers and Applications
The TOSHIBA Application Installer allows you to reinstall the drivers and applications that were originally bundled with your computer.
To reinstall drivers and applications:
  1. Double-click the "Toshiba Application Installer" icon on the Windows desktop. This utility may also be launched by clicking Start -->All Programs --> Hard Disk Recovery Utilities.

  2. Click "Next".
  3. Click the item(s) you wish to install. To select multiple items, hold down the Ctrl key as you click your selections.
  4. Click "Install".
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.

Hope this helps.
