Taking/Extracting a Stucked Battery Out of a Nikon, pull the yellow tab to allow the battery to be pushed out.
-with the use/aid of a thin metal/sturdy objects like a knife and long-nose-plier; carefully/gently wiggle the stucked battery upward/outward of the camera's battery compartment until it's exposed enough to pull it out with the plier.
Once pulled out/extracted; carefully examine the battery and the battery compartment and the springs that made it pop out whenever you replaced the battery. If there's corrossion/rust; clean the corrossion with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol; and dry them before replacing the battery with a new clean one.
The main causality of this is a swollen Lithium Ion batteries. Be careful though not to puncture them because they might explode.
This procedure will hopefully work with other cameras with Li-Ion battery packs.

How can i turn on my Nikon D3100?

Is the battery fully charged. What were you doing on it right before you shut it down. Also make sure your putting the battery i. The right way

Also you can\'t charge the battery by usb into a computer. You need to use the external wall charger.

Unfortunatly the d3100 does not contain am external reset button like the Nikon D3000 but this might help. Take out the sd card and battery and leave it out for a couple hours then, after a couple hours have past reinsert the Battery without the SD card. If it still doesn\'t work shine a flashlight into the battery holder to see if any of the metal connectors are bent.

The only logical explanation after that if it still doesn\'t work is that the battery died doesn\'t have to look damaged it can crap out anytime. I would try getting a new battery and putting it in. If you just got the camera you could tell the place you got it at and they should give you a new battery.

i hope I could help, your going to have to trial and error this one to see what gets it to work.

NIKON D3100 battery flickers while charging

sounds like you got a lemon battery. if it is less than a year old it should still be under warranty - contact Nikon and see if they will replace it at no charge

The battery of my nikon D3100 was not functioning..im confuse if it is the charger or the battery got a problem..how to fix it??

Is there a light on the charger to indicate that it is powered up when you connect it to the mains socket. If so then the adapter is probably OK and the battery is faulty or worn out.
Try purchasing a new battery and charge it in the adapter.

I have a nikon d3100 and some of the shooting modes are grayed out like picture control and if i press there is a message that says the options is not available with current settings what do i do??? i

Try resetting the camera by removing the battery for 15 mins. Replace the battery and go to the camera's Menu setting and set the Date and Time.
The camera should now be set to the factory default settings.

Nikon d3100 bran new battery wont finish charging !!

You have one of a few problems. Either your new battery is defective, which does occasionally happen, or there is a problem with your battery charger. The other possibility is that your camera has a problem; possibly a short circuit that is draining the battery. If you have a spare battery and it will take a charge, your new battery is probably bad.

Can someone help me on my nikon D3100 freeze problem?

New battery that is fully charged. My Nikon D3100 has had the problem of freezing every ten or so pics since it was a couple of months old. Still does it today after six months of use. I take a few hundred pics with it when shooting but only shoot once or maybe twice a month.

Have to take the battery out, put it back in etc. each time. Sometimes it allows me to power off and then back on but either way it's a pain in the rear and a serious "time waster".

I left my nikon D3100 outside with the tripod and i forgot to get it,then suddenly it got wet from the rain, what will i do?

Remove the battery imediately, the memory card and the lens. Place the camera body, lens and memory card in a warm dry and place for several days to dry out completely.
When the camers is dry, insert the battery, lens and memory card, turn on the camers and set the date and time.
If the camers does not work charge the battery and try again.
If it still does not work then you need to send it to the Nikon service centre for repair.
