Why? it's cheap, if so that is your answer. I wouldn't bother.
Is it a collector Item? and cheap that's is another good reason to not bother. If you want the gun bad, get the serial number, talk to a dealer see if they can run it through their system. And ask them what it's worth and their price. I'd say unregistered guns can be "deadly".
