Manual specifications: 60 VA for receive, and 470 VA for transmit @ 100 W. Radio will take 100-117 or 200-234 VAC +/- 10% 50/60 Hz.

Yep, that should do very well. The voltage (19V) is critical - that should match exactly. The current (3.16A, 2.6A) isn't so critical, but the power supply MUST supply AT LEAST as much current as the monitor requires. The extra current capacity won't hurt anything at all, it just won't get used for anything.

Ac to dc power supply failure


The current capacity of the power supply may be insufficient for the camera. Use an ammeter to check the actual current draw of the camera.. Check the voltage of the power supply with a voltmeter at the camera while in operation. If the voltage is several volts less that it's rated output, then the supply needs to be able to replaced with one with a larger current capacity.

Hi Ray,

This is a mobile CB radio. According to the manual, it requires 13.8VDC @ 2.2Amps. You will need to provide an AC (house or alternating current) to DC (direct current) power supply capable of providing 13.8V at 2.2 Amps. This means the supply would be working at 100%, so obtaining a supply that would provide 4, 5 or more amps would be much less stressful on it and significantly reduces the chances of a 60 cycle hum present in the receive and transmit audio.

A representation of 13.8VDC @ 4A power supplies can be found here for $40 and up. Of course, you can go to a local electronics store and find them too. Check eBay for these, too - here.

You should be looking for a power supply that will provide 12 - 13.8 volts DC, and provide 3, 4 or more amps. The amp capacity is what will change the price - the more amps the higher the cost. You may see small "switching" power supplies - they are smaller, lighter & cheaper than traditional linear or transformer based types - so if that is the type you want to get you might want to get one that is a little bigger (5 or 6 amps) than the transformer type to get the same performance.

Since you have to purchase a new video card then I would go ahead and get one and see what happens. Worst case, you'll have to go buy a bigger power supply.

What is the correct amps for the 12 volt transformer


the current measured in ampere which depends upon the resistance . V/R=I{ohm's law} . as resistance is low , current becomes high . power supply gives that much current which circuit takes no fixed current transformer gives whatever current mentioned on the transformer .i.e., maximum current capacity of that transformer .

It is possible that you picked up a faulty power supply, slim, but possible. Chances are pretty good that you have one of your components drawing too much current on your power supply. The largest power drain comes from your processor and the graphics accelerator cards, however it could be a faulted motherboard or hard drive. You can replace your power supply with a larger capacity unit from a known good manufacturer. If you increase the wattage capability and look with the side off to see if any component is generating a lot more heat than usual. A larger capacity power supply should be able to handle the unusual current draw.

My problems power supply


eBay will have dozens of ATX supplies and I would recommend upgrading the supply power capability if it really is that low. The additional power won't cost much more and it will run at less than full capacity all the time. BTW, supplies are the sloppiest built part of any system and one of the most common places systems manufacturers like to save a buck and that is about what it amounts to.

Power supply not working


Hello my friend, if one of your power supply's part is burned, your power supply won't work else if its work i has a short time to operate and it will be burned the whole board of your supply. Mainly the reason of burning your supply are the following: 1. The Electric supply  from the source is to high or above the limitation of your Power supply. 2. Your power supply is over capacity. 3. You're power supply board develop a liquid moisture inside that is why it shorted and eventually the board is burned.  4. The load of your power supply is overload due to some device you attach that is beyond to the limit of your power supply's wattage capacity.
Note: try to see the wattage or voltage or the capacity of your power supply can supply the electricity within your computer system. To ensure that it does not exceed the limit of your power supply's limitation.  I therefore reccomend that to avoid burning the entire power supply board from short circuit, it is recommended to replace your power supply to avoid incidents may arise.

your radio is trying to draw more current than your power supply can provide it, you need a power supply with higher current capability.

You should use the original Samsung supply since it is a switching power supply capable of supplying the needed current to operate the onboard charging circuit. Many customers have tried to go with generic supplies and it opens the inline chemical fuse due to the unit drawing heavy current during battery charging. Hope this helps.
