Perhaps the window or something is moving the crib (wind draft or a pet?)
does it happen if you move the crib somewhere else?
If not there could be just some interference

The 2 units are not pairing, the parent unit just continues to flash, despite running through the re-pair process

there is a very important step missing from the previous instructions.

turn both the nursery and parent units off.
turn on the parent unit.
hold menu for 5 secs until it beeps.
turn on the nursery unit.
press the 'clear' button at the very top of the nursery unit that is part of the halo where it meets the white plastic of the unit.
the parent unit waits for the signal then pairs.

every other guide i've found misses out this critical part of the process for some reason and i was just about to give up until i saw a guide on the angelcare facebook page linking to youtube showing 'extra features' of the angelcare monitor.

I need a parent unit for Angelcare AC401 - mine has given up the ghost! Any ideas where I can buy one from please - it is well over a year old now so out of guarantee?

I found a website called and there was the answer! Works brilliantly now. It was just the parent unit and nursery unit needed to reconnect with each other.

Baby Monitor False Alarm Problem

You can try adjusting the sensitivity on back of the nursery unit. But the most major thing I found was to ensure the sensor pad was on a firm surface. I used a large piece of cardboard from a flattened box. Angel Care recommends plywood or similar but the cardboard worked perfect for me. Put the sensor on top of the cardboard and then the mattress on top of that. The sensor should also be placed according to directions (under child approx center of mattress).
