The ice in my icemaker is clumping so it gets stuck and wont dispense the ice until I remove the drawer and take out the clumped ice. It is happening at least 3 times a day. Any solutions?

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

You can have a defective ice maker, if your unit is under warranty, i would use it.
your cubes are staying wet to long, and then freezing together.

All is depending on your freezer temps, and the ice maker. it takes a experienced service person to figure it out.

Ice cubes are turning into a clump of ice

I found a high density foam and a plastic retainer under the freezer drawer, inspected ice maker and found a wire with a rectangular senser hanging down. Removed freezer drawer and door to gain access to icemaker. Reinstalled foam piece and plastic retainer to lower front of icemaker (there are recess and a small retainiing tab) Reassembled freezer door and drawer, system working normally

Ice cube tray overflowing-not shuting off automatically

Yes that is a plastic extension for the icemaker shut off. When replaced the new one should be secured with two small zip ties. You can use the ice on/off button to shut the icemaker off manually in the mean time. When ice is displayed in the panel it is on and when it is off so is the icemaker.

Sounds like the icemaker may need to be replaced. When you open the freezer drawer it cuts power to the icemaker.

A very unusual 'croaking' frog like noise from the back of the freezer compartment. It stops if the freezer door is opened and starts again once closed. The freezer light switch is involved: With the...

I have a Kenmore Elite Trio and the freezer was making a frog sound. I found the solution.

My model number is 596.75523400. The sound will stop when the freezer is opened. It will stop again when the freezer drawer is open and the light switch is pressed to turn off the light. The ice drawer was full but it had stopped making ice.

Here is the fix in less than 10 minutes using only a screwdriver.
  • Take out the two freezer baskets
  • Remove the freezer door from the two slide tracks.
  • Unplug the icemaker electric connection at the back wall. Depress the clips on the side of the plug and wiggle it loose.
  • There are 3 screws that attach the icemaker to the left freezer wall. Remove the lower screw and unscrew the top two about ½ way out.
  • Slide the icemaker up so the slots slip over the 2 screws.
  • Put the icemaker in the sink and run a bit of water on the frozen cubes until they fall out.
  • Take the screwdriver and check the water inlet hose/pipe for ice that obstructs the flow of water into the ice maker.
  • Re-mount using the 3 screws and plug in the electric connector. Make certain the water inlet tube is positioned thru the retaining hole before you remount the screws.
  • Replace freezer door and baskets.

Feeler arm on ice maker prevents freezer drawer from opening

Hi, There is no adjustment on the level arm other then bending it. Is it posible that something snagged it as the drawer was being pulled out and bent it? The arm should collapse all the way down tothe side of the icemaker and level with the bottom of the icemaker.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can help further.

Water collecting inside, under the crisper drawers.

ok these are instructions for cleaning the drain on your refrig.
  • Unplug refrigerator
  • unload food from freezer
  • remove icemaker if present (there are 3 screws remove the one on the bottom and loosen the 2 on top of icemaker then lift it off the 2 screws unplug from wiring harness)
  • remove 2 screws holding rear cover in place
  • move cover to the side or remove from unit altogether
  • defrost any and all ice from bottom of freezer and aluminum drain pan that is now exposed
  • flush drain hole that you will see once ice is cleared with warm water. (sometimes I use a large syringe or turkey baster to forcefully flush hot water thru the drain tube)
  • reassemble in reverse order
If you have any further questions please ask. Thnaks Peyton
