Question about Televison & Video
Just replaced the lamp with a brand new original one ,, TV turns on fine , after about 2 minuets the screen goes black and sound remains on and the remote won't work, must be unplugged. leave it off for 2-3 minuets then turn it back on it does the same thing , and some times it keeps turning on and off by itself after the picture goes black. took the whole light unit out , cleaned everything including fans and made sure the color wheel is in good condition (and it is) no bearing noise or broken pieces and spins freely. also cleaned the lamp ballast. looking at the power supply board, nothing is burnt, all capacitors are good (non melted) . put all together and still having the same problem. So I got an external big standing 3 speed fan, set it to level 2 facing the (boards, lamp, color wheel) in the back , turned the TV on , worked good for an extended time (longer than before) maybe 5 minutes, so I switched the fan to speed 1 then the colors on the TV starting dimming until you couldn't see anything, still the remote won't shut it off , had to unplug it , so not sure what the problem is , need HELP please with the problem, so I can buy whatever part I need and watch TV again , thank you

The original lamp code number and color wheel part number must match...give me all the # ' s for research = Model # , lamp
numbers,color wheel numbers,etc.
Also, does it "melody" on and " melody" off ?? That is a function
of DMD module = might be defective...............T,

Check to make sure that both fans stay turning. If one stops prematurely, replace the one that stops. If they do turn until shutdown then try jumping the Temperature Sensor on the Lamp Housing. If that stops it from shutting down, replace the Sensor. If not , there is a chance you have a Actuator Board or a Digital Board causing the problem.
Hope this helps,

SOURCE: the tv picture goes out
Sounds like the ballast has gone out. Samsung recommends replacing the smps board(power supply board) when you replace the ballast because it is the smps that takes out the ballast. replacing just the ballast ,machine may work ok for a short time but will destroy the new ballast fairly quickly.
