Is it getting enough water in tub? try extra water button and see if then it works. if that makes it work, then water pressure sensor may be an issue

Posted on Apr 01, 2015

Testimonial: "Thanks RDJagger! Yes, the tub fills with water, hot or cold, properly. I verify the water level reading with the control panel. When the level get too low, it adds water and stops adding at the proper level. I'm stumped since it does indeed actually recirculate/spray during the wash cycle, it just doesn't do it when it's supposed to. Thanks again!!"

well there are four water inlet valves on your unit i believe, one of them is either disconnected or not working would be my best guess. good luck. easy fix and fairly inexpensive.

Hello & Thanks again!! Well, I'm able to test the water inlet valves and all 5 test successfully. Lost the hot water valve two years ago, replaced it and no leaks or problems with any of the valves or QC testing of the valves since that hot water valve failure. SMH totally perplexed, but I suspect a circuit board issue of some kind impacting the starting times for water circulation. It sprays only in the middle to end of wash cycles and doesnt spray at all during the rinse cycle! Just bizarro!! At least if this were a Microsoft problem I could just reboot it, uninstall a screen saver or malware or pay for a quick painless upgrade(YA RIGHT!)

  • rdjagger Apr 02, 2015

Well I have heard that holding in the power button while plugged in or unplugged can reset it. 15 secs or so. Never tried so don't know. A wild shot in the dark.

HooRah! Looking forward to trying to hard reset the electronics. I can't imagine any other cause since water circulation and all other washer functions test successfully 100%. Damned computer chips I tell ya!! Where's my old fashioned wash tub & board???

SOURCE: LG1812CW Walks During Spin Cycle

The rear 2 legs are fixed. The front 2 are adjustable. There are lock nuts to prevent the adjustment from coming loose. The front legs are to be adjusted to the minimum. While not running if the machine rocks, continue the adjustment. For few clothes there is a half load switch; best the read the manual well before anything. Well if the walking continues, check the rear for any shocks or springs that may hv fallen off during transport. Plug off the wall socket first.

SOURCE: spinning cycle

Keeping in mind that the soap & bleach gets dispensed into your wash on the second to last rinse cycle and that most all rinse cycles are in cold water. Is your cold water valve screen plugged causing your washer to rinse poorly? Are you using the HE detergent? If not maybe the washer is sudsing up to much and having a hard time rinsing all the suds and bleach out and leaving the clothes soapy.

Fill the washer up with no clothes in it on a cold/cold wash setting does it take a long time to fill the washer up? Also when it is full and agitating is there suds in the washer?

Last suggestion is if the drain is hose is a lot higher than the top of the washer it might have a hard time draining out all of the soap water before the next load

SOURCE: clothes are still water logged after cycle

The clothes are wet after spinning When the clothes are wet at the end of a cycle, check these:

Motor coupler
Spin cycle
Siphoning
Water-inlet valve
Motor coupler To test the motor coupler, re-start the washer in its spin cycle. Let the machine run for a minute, and then open the lid and notice whether the tub is spinning:

  • If it's spinning when you lift the lid, the coupler is fine.

  • If it isn't spinning--and your machine was produced by Whirlpool®--you may have a broken coupler. Many Whirlpool-made washers use a small, relatively inexpensive device called a motor coupling. This plastic-and-rubber component is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. When that happens, you need to replace it completely.

Spin cycle If the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt (Maytag®), a worn clutch (GE®/Hotpoint®), or a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Replace the applicable component.

Alternatively, there could be clothes caught between the inner and outer tubs. Read the "It spins but won't pump" section of the "It won't drain" section. Also, there could be other things that cause friction on the drive train. Seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician.

Siphoning If the water that pumps from the machine goes right back into the machine after the spin cycle, it may be because your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry tub with a slow drain, back into the washer. Try to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is there something stuck in the drain?) Also, be sure the drain hose doesn't reach more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub. If it does, cut off the excess.

Water-inlet valve Water-inlet valves eventually fail. One problem that may develop with a water-inlet valve is that it can no longer completely shut off when the electricity is turned off to it. Then, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub--you may notice that your washer has water in it when you haven't used it for a few days. To fix this, replace the valve.

If the motor has a transmission, it could be stuck in 1st gear. I think the agitator running is normal.

I would recommend checking the washer pump unit on the washer reservoir. They have a tendency to clog up with algae or fail. You can also check for voltage to the washer pump while someone is activating it.

Whirlpool Duet 9150.. should I be able to see water in the tub when it is washing? There is no visible water level. The clothes are wet but how do they get clean?

water is drawn THROUGH the clothes. There is a BIT of water in the drum - however the water sprays on the clothes during the wash cycle and draws the dirt/water/detergent THROUGH the clothes.

Washer wont fill with water/clothes dont get clean

Actually the machine is working like it is designed. When the correct soap is used, these machines clean clothes better than the old style. Try using a major brand of soap like Tide, Bold, or Cheer. Make sure it has the HE design on the bottle. This means that it is made just for the new High Efficiency machines. Also make sure you don't use to much. Read the directions. If this is done correctly, I'm sure you will find that it does clean great. I was like you when I first saw one of these new machines. "These is no way you can clean dirty and I mean dirty clothes without enough water to cover them. Well since, I have became a believer. They have put a lot of thought into designing these things. They had to of, for them to clean as good as they do.
