I just purchased a Kodak printer to print my digital pictures. When I try to look at the pictures wheather the memory chip is in the camera or directly in the printer it will only read 46 of the 200 or -...

If that's the case try connecting the the camera to your computer then print all the pictures then format your memory chip to make sure this is not a problem with the memory chip...

Hope that helps.......

How do I clear the fax memory of the MFC 7860DW

Hello there, you can try the following: 1. On the Touchscreen press the MENU.
2. Press FAX.
3. Press SETUP RECEIVE.
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to choose MEMORY RECEIVE.
5. Press FAX STORAGE.

Then if you want to clear fax memory find clear or reset memory if you are not able to see it then turn the fax storage off then restart the printer then check.
Then again turn on the fax storage if you want to store fax in memory.

Thank you.

WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANCE AND FUNCTIOPNS OF RAM AND ROM?

Random Access Memory is a form of memory that can be read without having to begin at the first address, then the second address, then the third, and so on. This is a carryover from when most memory was Serial Access, such as magnetic tape, paper tape, or punched cards. The on-board memory computers use for temporary storage is Random Access Memory, but on chips, instead of a hard disc drive.

Read Only Memory is exactly what the name implies, it can only be read, not written to. A CD-ROM is a form of memory, as is a chip on the motherboard which is used to store instructions for the Central Processor Unit. RAM is your computer's temporary storage space. RAM is really the computer's short-term memory. As such, it remembers everything that the computer needs to process the data into information, such as data that has been entered and software instructions, but only when the computer is on. This means that RAM is an example of volatile storage. When the power is off, the data stored in RAM is cleared out. This is why, in addition to RAM, systems always include nonvolatile storage devices for permanent storage of instructions and data when the computer is powered off. Hard disks provide the greatest nonvolatile storage capacity in the computer system.

10.1000 memory error

Thank you for contacting FixYa with your printer inquiry.
This error is normally associated with a supplies error. I have extracted information on this error from the HP 6L manual.

Error Codes
Error 10 - Supplies Memory Error 10.XX.YY Exact format is dependent on printer model
The printer is unable to read the electronic information (elabel) on the print cartridge. This helps track page count and life of consumable.
XX Description 00 memory error on the cartridge or 01 memory device not found
    10.00.00 Black print cartridge
    10.00.01 Cyan print cartridge
    10.00.02 Magenta print cartridge
    10.00.03 Yellow print cartridge

  1. Supplies used in newer printer models contain a memory chip. The information contained on this chip is dependent on the printer model and the supply. The error 10 indicates a problem with the printer obtaining the information from this chip. The chip may be missing or defective or contain incorrect information. There may be a problem with connection between the memory chip and DC controller. Turn the printer off/on to attempt to clear or reset the message. Remove and reinstall the supply, replace the supply.
  2. Replace the memory chip cable/connector or the DC controller.
    How did we do?
Hope this helps helps. Please keep us updated and remember to rate this answer.

How are images stored in the camera?

images are stored in either internal flash memory or optional removable, reusable CompactFlash cards. Providing both internal and removable storage offers users maximum storage flexibility. Internal camera memory ensures that the camera is always ready to capture pictures, even if the optional memory cards have been misplaced, lost or damaged. Optional storage cards enable users to expand storage capacity according to their usage needs. Since the pictures are stored in flash memory chips, pictures can be retained for up to one year without power.
