Question about GE Washing Machines
Our washing machine stopped powering up. We've replaced the filter and the control boards. It still won't light up. The last part replaced was the filter which contains a fuse. When we plugged the machine in and pressed the power button, it tripped our gfi and the breaker for that outlet. What could cause this? The dryer runs fine on this outlet. When we tried the washer on this outlet, it was the only thing plugged in.
Did you replace the inverter board?? It is inside the tan plastic box in the bottom of the control panel I think on the right side. That controls the power supply to a good part of the machine and drive system. Has to be a direct short somewhere to trip the breaker.
