What can i do when my photocopier says warming up and it never gets ready?

Unfortunately that usually means there is a firmware it software issue. Depending on the make and model it might be as easy as reloading the firmware on a flash drive and uploading it or as bad as having to replace the main control board.

To reset Error codes C0500 and C0501, perform the following steps.

When I turn on my Canon ir 1018 it doesn't stop heating. i.e it doesn't get ready for photocopying. It keeps on turning but doesn't stop in order to get ready.


This sounds like a faulty fuser assy. Basically the machine is warming up but nevers gets to temperature. The lamp has probably blown and for some reason it is not giving any error.

I would put a new fuser in and all should be well.
