Can the Zanussi oven, set for LPG, model ZCG660GXC be converted to be used with natural gas?

I bought a Zanussi oven, set for LPG, model ZCG660GXC. I'm in Egypt, and here they say that it's not possible to make the conversion to NG. I sent e-mails to Zanussi in Italy and Switzerland, and I hope they will reply. I've read another question about it, it gave me hopes but it does not give info...If there is a conversion kit for this model, does anybody know the name/number of it? Please help me: I really want to keep this oven!!

Zanussi ZCG660 Manuals
EW 1200 i on
Dont know if you have a manual. On page 21 it says:
Gas Category 13+
Gas Supply G30/31 (3+) -
page 22 shows more settings 20mbr for natural gas
however instructions are not valid in all countries.

I went to it asked pick country and Egypt I picked. There is a support tab see if that gets you closer than Italy or Switzerland.
Good Luck looks like a great oven.

Testimonial: "Good morning all and thank you for your replies. I contacted Zanussi in Italy, Switzerland ( and now England as well...)as the answer I got till now from Zanussi Egypt is a "no", but a no wich is not a "no" 100/100 even because, they say, the oven is imported from Europe. At first they told me that it was probably possible a conversion, but I could have to loose an option of the oven, related to the timer, for wich the oven would not be longer able to swich off by itself. This it would not be a problem, as long as a conversion can be made, without reducing the safety. That's actually my question: could a conversion be made, without reducing the safety....or no way? For the cookers there are no problems, they have been set by gas workers...but the ovens...big question mark... About the manual, I have it and I read it: nowhere it states that the conversion can't be mede, and page 22 gave me hopes...but Zanussi here say that that writing is standard, it's in all the manuals. Thank you very much...and I still hope that someone can give me a clarifying answer..."

Dear Isabella;
Conversion kit is not a problem you should care much of,
As the conversion kit consists of a couple of "orifices" with different sizes to replace the original ones .
I and you should be affraid of that : changing the oven to NG might affect the oven operation if cooking was pre programed somehow
on LP burning and not to include NG .
that I don't know about and it concern me a lot because the Zanussi sales people warn me before buying ( where normally I used to hear lot of promises ,that could not be realised, from sales people before buying anything )

Testimonial: "News...As I haven't yet received an answer to my mails from Europe, I had someone I know, from Zurich, Switzerland, calling Zanussi there. Without even wanting to know the oven model, they say that it is, of course, possible the conversion, but just need to be bought a jet conversion, and they gave the number of it: 3428195634. I did not personally talked to them ( if i had I would probably had insisted to give the model number) but this same oven is in the Swiss Zanussi web site... I just informed Zanussi Egypt about that, as they should order it...let's see..."

Can a zanussi cooker model number ZCG5000BKN be converted from NG TO LPG

You'll need to change all of the pilot light orifices to LPG size. You may have to replace the main oven burner assembly and the simmer burner/injector assemblies to accomplish this. (Essentially any part number with NG in the name should be replaced with the LPG equivalent.) The greatest difficulty may be finding the replacement parts, or paying for them; it may be more economical to sell the NG unit and purchase one already set up for LPG.

Why wont my bottom oven heat up, it will ignite but wont heat, has the bulb anything to do with it,its blown HELP ZANUSSI ZCG660GXC LPG gas with electric ignition and clock.

The gas valve for the lower oven won't open after the igniter starts glowing. If there is no orange glow from the igniter, then it needs to be replaced.

Why does Oven soot up during use?

Are you on propane (LPG) or natural gas? I would guess that you are on propane, and that your oven has not been converted over to LPG correctly. The regulator needs to be set up for LPG, and the oven gas orifaces need to be tightened down, and the air valves opened up. If you don't know what these terms mean, then you need to contact a professional, because you don't want to monkey around with gas!

Can a ZANUSSI ZCG660GXC gas cooker be converted to use NG ? without badly affecting its programs and gas controls ?

I, too, cannot find a reason why it could not be converted. Get the conversion kit and change out the orifices. Make sure you open the cap to the appliance regulator and take the plastic tip out, invert it and re-insert it. Also be sure to set the opening for the air to the proper setting.

CAN a ZANUSSI gas cooker be converted to utilize NG ? Without affecting its programs and controls ?

usually any gas cooker can be converted as long as the gas jets are changed to the right size. they also have to be the right fitting. it would involve a lot of work as you will need to get into the nitty gritty of the gas lines inside the cooker and if you make a mistake it can cost to get it fixed.

Hi, I have Osaka Gas Heater model 43-540.

A natural gas heater can only burn natural and vice versa unless there are changes such as orifice and regulator. They can easily be converted to use either fuel, but you have to know what fuel supply you have, and what the appliance is set up for. Since you've already tried LPG, if it turns out the appliance is natural gas, then replace the spud (burner nozzle) before trying to operate it again. LPG cannot pass through the small nozzle hole in a natural gas appliance.

Problem with Kenmore 970-334780 Gas Kitchen Range / propane gas /to natural gas

hello Lorraine,

Most gascookers heve the possibility to change from LPG to natural gas.
You need to change the injectors. The holes in the injectors for LPG are smaller that the ones for natural gas.
I send you a link of Ebay where you can see what you need to look for.
Sometimes the oven can give a problem when it is gas too.

Kind regards, Dik

I have a Turbo Elite 3 burner barbecue. Want to convert it from propane to natural gas. Where can I get a conversion kit?

Your best bet is BBQ's Galore. Since it's their grill, if there is a conversion kit for that model, they'll have it. However, not all gas grills are convertible from one gas type to another.

329H portable heater Can this be converted to a gas bottle fitting will it be ok what is the use age and how many watts of power to run the electronics etc

You need to convert the unit if you are changing from Natural gas to LPG. This involves getting a full conversion kit for your model and changing burner , gas pressures and electronic settings.

Power draw on high remains at 22Watts. Input is almost identical for either natural or LPG gas as you would expect but running costs depends on how much you pay for your LPG. For example in Australia we use 45kg bottles of LPG, they retails at about A$110 delivered. One of these would last about 170 hours running a 329 on high.About 2 litres of LPG per hour
