Eight_angels, yes such hammer noise is common and it is easy to fix! That hammer noise will eventually damage your plumbing unless fixed, I use an easy to install Sioux Chief 660-GTR1 surge suppressor with an air filled surge absorber to fix the problem, usually costing around $12.

How often do water inlet valves fail? I replaced it 2 months ago and now sounding like a jackhammer whenever the water dispenser is used?

the noise is called water hammer and occurs when the flow of water is instantly stopped
water has mass and when flowing will continue to do so even if the tap is turned off
one fairly inexpensive way of fixing the noise problem is to install a small accumulator in the inlet pipe which absorbs the water flow on turning the tap off and so stops the water hammer
they are easy to install and are available from most plumber supply shops

Knocking noise when turning cold water off or toilet flushing

It's called water hammer, either pipe was never secured correctly or
pipe has come unsecured. You can try to find where your cold water pipe is not secured correctly (every 4 feet or every other floor joist) or install water hammer arrester in cold water line.

Dometic banging noise

Not real sure what could be banging and clanging as there aren't really any moving parts. There have been some reports of gurgling sounds coming from the cooling unit and also water pipes 'hammering' when the pump is on.

How to get rid of water pipe noise at home

This usually occurs with high water pressures.
It may help by installing a water reducing valve at the water meter.
When a dish washer or washing machine turns on and off the water you will get a water hammer noise. The pipe fixings have come loose over time and the pipe bangs against the fixings.
You can reduce this noise by installing a water hammer device on the all the taps and then connecting the hoses from the dishwasher and washing machines to the water hammer devices.

I suggest you check out the best options with a plumber.

That is called 'water hammer' and is usually coming from an old fashioned stop valve. The stem with the washer is bouncing up and down.

Thundering noise coming from hot taps, bath, sink taps...

Sounds to me like you need to have a water hammer device installed into your plumbing, I have only run across this just once before, the noise is very loud and very bothersome, you will need to contact a plumber and have him install a water hammer device into your system, also vibration dampers would probably help as well, if your water lines are running through floor joists and touching them, hope that helps

Clunking noise in sink

You are describing a problem known as water hammer. This will ultimately cause damage somewhere in your plumbing system so it should be addressed. If you are handy you can install an air chamber near the sink. If you want more information let me know. good luck.

Loud noise

The vibrating sound you hear could be due to "water hammer" when the fill valve tries to close against high water line pressure. I had that problem and solved it by putting a small valve in the line to the ice maker and closing it little by little until the vibrating went away. You know, the banging could also be water hammer. It only happens at night when the entire neighborhood is asleep and the water pressure is at its highest. You need to check this out because water hammer can be very destructive to the plumbing and the valve.
