SOURCE: facebook chat not workin

Hi

I think it's a javascript related problem. You should be up and running in a few minutes if you follow these 2 little solutions. As I am not sure how much you know about computers I will provide you with a practical solution. You should make sure that you get your browser clean before moving on to something else (therefore right click on the icon choose properties>> delete all cache and stuff from the internet options)

1. An easy way out to solve this should be to download another browser DIFFERENT from what you've got. If you use it on internet explorer then download mozilla firefox and it should work fine.

2. You may optionally try this. The EASIEST way out should be to uninstall internet explorer and reinstall this should get you up and running. First download the new browser (IE 8 is quite good), and if just an upgrade is available dont worry save it to desktop. Now go to control panel choose add/remove programs or uninstall a windows feature in case of vista uninstall internet explorer and reinstall it from the prgram you had saved on the desktop.

hope this fixya helped you :)

Happy chatting :)

My samsung galaxy proclaim will not let me make calls {not registered in network} cant send texts or recieve text says no signal found for mobile networks no network connection . facebook works fine

Hello Kay

Your smartphone is two devices in one.

1. A phone that makes calls and sends text messages via over air signals via a cellular provider on a contract or pay as you go.

2. A device that can access the internet in two ways
2a. via your cellular carrier using a data plan.
2b. via a wifi connection using someone else's internet connection.

So yes, Facebook works fine via wifi, but you have no cellular network set up. Contact a cellular provider, sort out a contract and they will give you a SIM card to put in the phone and then your calls, text and data will work.

Facebook won't connect on computer but does on my phone tried all the computer suggestions ..still cannot connect

Hi
Since your phone connects to Facebook, you have valid Facebook account.
So - does the computer access the internet OK, If so then it would appear to be a username/password, firewall or anti-vrus software issue.
Does your phone connect to Facebook over a WiFi internet connection - eg from your BT HomeHub or other router, or via mobile Broadband (3g - 4g). If its via a WiFi connection/router then you need to check that the phone adn computer Wifi settings are the same.
Cheers

I do NOT receive confirmation / verfication code can FB send it via email?

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
1. Check your email application's spam or junk folder or filter. Please be aware that some emails may be blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
2. Check that you're trying to log in from the exact email address you registered with. A common error is registering with an incorrect email domain (e.g., @comcast.com is not the same as @comcast.net).
keep in mind that email addresses never begin with a "www" prefix.
If you did not receive your confirmation, fill the form below: www.facebook..

My daughter was the last one to open the facebook and she says she cannot open the facebook and when i try to open it there was a note saying that this web page cannot be open....what will i do

Hi, If you are getting an error message on the screen about Web page cannot be displayed, there are many causes if the problem. First, check if the internet is working fine, * go to other website, if you can go to other sites go to next step
Second, * try to check the settings on your Internet explorer and reset it to default, follow simple steps to do the options below: c6b2b1b.jpg

next is:
1e9e7c3.jpg
* then try to log on again to Facebook. if still was not able to connect, go to next step.
Third: * check the proxy settings of your computer:

then next is:

Now you should be able to log on to Facebook again.
Hope this helps, thank you for using Fixya, your recommendation is highly appreciated for the free support.

Facebook problem

Nothing to worry about. This usually happens when either the connection is lost or no data is being sent or received via internet. make sure that your internet connection is working perfectly!
