Look ive done this countless times. plug in your pcm, turn the key to the on position/dont start the car just on. On your pcm run your test as usual then once the same codes come up erase um all until its clean. turn the key off. remove the pcm and start the car. run the car for a week normally and your problem should be gone.

Changing the PCM removes all the codes. If there are codes after the PCM was changed and the engine was started then, there are problems. If you changed a part without a proper diagnostic done, you may have wasted your money. An EGR code does not necessarily mean the valve has to be replaced.

Check eng. light on. P0601 code What can I do?

A code P0601 in most cases means the PCM has gone bad. This is possibly due to a short-circuit inside the PCM. Or, if you disconnect the wires/connector from the PCM while the battery is still connected, that may also cause this code. the most common fix is to replace and reprogram the PCM. In a few cases the dealer may be able to reflash the PCM and get it working. But more than likely the PCM will need to be replaced and reprogrammed dealership for this). The good news is it *may* be covered under your emmissions warranty. good-day!

if the pcm is not communicating with the car you may have to program your cars vin number into the computer.or have the computer flashed at a dealer the reprogramed with your cars vin number

PCM is what control's all of your engine sensor's, there's no repair for the PCM, but to replace.

My check engine light is on had the OBD checked and stated a temperature problem autozone suggested to check coolant level first then replace the temperature sensor where is it located?

I had the exact same problem on my 2003 Trailblazer. The check engine light came on, I took my vehicle to autozone and they told me the code was P0495 (cooling fan speed high)but they did't know how to fix the problem.
I called the dealer and they told me that it would cost me $89.00 to reprogram my PCM. I took my vehicle to the dealer and now my trailblazer is working like new. I hope it's that simple, the other thing also that could have gone bad would be the relay to your electric fan. The relay is a not like a normal relay but is more like a module that can regulate the speed of the electric fan which a tech2 scanner can determine if it's bad or not. Good luck
Thank you for using fixya.

I HAVE A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE CODE THAT CAME UP IS P1607 PCM INTERNAL CIRCUIT FAILURE COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THAT CODE IS?

this code can sometimes set due to low battery voltage. find the cause of the low battery voltage(this code usually pops up after a car is jump started or the battery is replaced or gone bad). clear the code. if it returns, then yes, the pcm will need replaced.

I have a ford f 250 with dtc code p0606, Internal Ctrl Mod Kam Error, what is wrong and how do I correct or fix

There is no P0606? P0602, P0603 or P0605. P0603 KAM interrupt can be a blown fuse or low battery, P0605 can be aftermarket chip / programing or PCM failure (diesels do have a reprogram for false P0605). P0602 is usually a PCM failure.
