Can you give me any idea of the value of a Singer Manufacturing Company sewing machine, G2775438, with cabinet? Also, any idea of the year it was made?

The G2775438 was built in 1913, according to the Singer database: http://www.singerco.com/admin-support/machine-serial-numbers/single-letter . This serial number is for a Model 66 (built after March 19, 1913). The value depends on the condition and the specific cabinet and accessories that are with the machine. A worn model 66-1 with a basic cabinet is ~$50. The higher end cabinets can raise the price to $125. (Those were the prices ~10 years ago.) Someone wanted $175 for an advertised good condition model 66-1 with a really good cabinet on Etsy a few years ago.

I hope this helps.

I just want to know the year and the value. It was my mothers and I believe she got it sometime in the late 40's/early 50's.

Usually you can plug in the serial number along with the type and come up with some answers. The EBAY is a good starting place to find out what your machine is worth.

Singer serial number model 14 704 257

Determining the value on older machines can be difficult. I would try to find out the actual model number at the Singer support site; it will tell you the year it was manufactured. I went there, and it appears that it was made in 1874. Check to see if it at least refers to a model somewhere; you might even email Singer customer service to get an answer. After that, you might want to try eBay to see if others are selling your machine or one like it, and what they're asking.

Of course, a working machine is lots more valuable than one that isn't working.

I have a singer sew machine model 44-79, serial no.G 7756650, year and value?

1910. Would have no idea of its value, but the year is on the singer site. Chances are, it's not worth very much of anything.

Hello I have an old sewing machine and would like to know what its worth it was my moms about 50 years ago its a kenmore 117-552 Serial n is 376239/ tHANKS

Hi. Unfortunately, sewing machines were manufactured by the millions and those from 50 years ago are still going strong and readily available. The value of any sewing machine is determined by how much someone is willing to pay for it. There are some older machines that collectors will pay good money for, if the machine is in excellent shape and has all the attachments. To get an idea of what people are willing to pay for your machine, check the listings in Ebay. There is a vintage kenmore group on yahoo groups that you can check also.

Hope this helps,

Robbie
