How do I clean the coils on my Maytag freezer-on-bottom fridge? (Model #i is MF D 2560HEW)

Pick up a coil brush from you home improvement center near you and remove the grill in the front under the freezer door. With the brush, brush the coils under the unit to clean them. Have a vacuum handy, you will need it for dust and hair if you have pets in the home. Good Luck

It's messy (REALLY MESSY), but I just use my shop vac and put the hose on the blow side. With the crevice tool it creates a lot of velocity and the coils clean up really well.

How do I clean the coils underneath my Frigidaire 26 cu ft side-by-side refrigerator?

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

I see that you want to clean the coils underneath your Frigidaire refrigerator. The best way to clean the coils is to remove the toe grille and use a vacuum extension brush to reach the coils. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

A/c is not cooling as quickly as it use to. I haven't cleaned the filter in months. Although I just did so a few days ago. The professionals suggest cleaning the coils but they charge way too much. Would...

Outside coils can be cleaned with garden hose. Inside may be a challenge. If your furnace is an updraft, (meaning the air blows up), than you can crawl under the furnace through the hole under the furnace. The coil then can be brushed with a scrub brush. this will remove dust and hair. Take care not to smash the aluminium fins. They are fragile. I would not use any chemical on them if it can be avoided.

Artica Profile side by side freezer will not cool below 2 degrees

Remove the rear panel at the bottom of refrig which covers the compressor and coils . The coils should be cleaned about every 4-6 months . Place a length of 2x4 laid flat behind the fridge , to push the fridge against , as this also gives enough room for air circulation .

Clean coils and service message

Not familiar with your unit, but, are there coils under the unit? Where is the compressor and is there a fan running, moving air under the unit? There may be a sensor at either place that needs wiped off or is covered with dust so as not to be able to sense air movement. Let me know and I will try to help you further....
