My camera shuts off after 8 seconds of videoing (and doesn't actually video anything. The camera is empty of videos so space is not the problem and I have tried resetting the battery by using a pin for 5 min and pressing down on the pin hole and then pressing down the power button for 5 seconds! This also doesn't work the camera says it still has battery life? Can anyone help I love my camera and can't believe I can't get it to work now

Save the pictures and videos on the card. Try reformatting the card in the computer, and then again using the camera. The first reformat will ensure the card is empty, and then the camera reformat will ensure that it is recognized by the camera. If the camera reformat will not work, try a new card.

Tellilng me that I don't have enough storage space, even though I deleted all of my memory

Hi Sarah
Have you actually emptied the trash while the thumb drive is plugged in? Putting stuff in the trash doesn't clear anything until the trash is emptied and the drive must be plugged in for it to work.

How do i load video from my cam corder to my laptop

You need to purchase a Firewire (also known as a 1394) cable. Make sure the connector on the camera end is the small connector and the connector on the computer end is the large connector. Monoprice is a great place to get cables. Here is a link to the cable you want:

4P to 6P Firewire (1394) Cable

You then need to use "capture" software do actually capture the Digital 8 tapes. This is built into most editing programs, like Studio (from Pinnacle). There is also a really good shareware capture program called Scenalyzer:

Scenalyzer Web Site

that I highly recommend. Once you have the cable and the capture software, you will be able to transfer the video. Digital 8 video will consume 13 GBytes of hard drive space for each hour of video. You then edit this, and when you are finished, you "render" the result to MPEG-2 to make a DVD, or to MP4 if you want to upload to YouTube.

I have a Panasonic SDR-H60P hard disk video camera and I have lost the second half of the ac adapter. Every time I try to retrieve the videos from my camera it asks me to connect to the ac adapter. I can't...

Unfortunately, the camera won't let you transfer anything if it's not on AC power. You'll have to buy a replacement cable in order to transfer the video, unless you saved it on the SD card and not the internal hard drive. If you saved your video to the SD card, you can just remove the card and copy it to any computer that has a card reader.

Lost record time due to corrupted video files

I have the same problem....someone please post solution!
I've tried systematically deleting each of the database type files on the Flip (while keeping a saved copy on my computer hard drive). This doesn't seem to help. I've just got one minute of video it will allow me to shoot!!!!!

Free up hard drive space

It's probably just misreporting the capability. The camera uses 2 folders that are approximately 16 gigs (magically all hard drives lose a few gigs don't ask me why). But in FAT32 partitions, only 4 gigs can be used at the most at one time, so it might be guessing there are just 2 4 gig capacity folders.

How long approx will 753 camera vidio for

Hello, Check one of the Digital Camera Review websites and look up the Kodak 753 camera. Here's the quote from the Kodak website:
The LCD displays the approximate number of pictures (or minutes/seconds of video) remaining. For average SD card capacities, visit Actual storage capacity varies depending on subject composition, card size, and other factors. You may be able to store more or fewer pictures and videos. Favorites take up additional space in internal memory.

Hope this helps.

Message trash empty try to record and get camera full

someone else posted on another feed, and it worked SO well I had to restate it here.
Empty the trash on your mac. I had the same problem, "Camera is full" but in actuality "Camera was empty". This guy said to plug the camera into the computer (macs in our cases) and empty the trash folder on your computer.
Fixed my problem completely and I didn't have to do anything crazy! Now next time it happens I'll know what to do, hope it helps you too! :)

Flip video problem

I have had this exact problem. The Flip Camera read "empty" however if I tried to record something by pressing the red button, the camera read "full." I started having this problem and kept on seeing fewer and fewer minutes available to record. Today, I was trying to shoot and then uploaded three videos. I could use the camera no more. So, I did as you suggested...plug the camera in to my Mac and then emptied the trashcan. It WORKED!! I got all sixt minutes back.

Aiptek ISDV2.4

When you say "turns itself off" do you mean the camera actually shuts off or does it just stop recording. If it just stops recording, it's because 10 seconds of video is all that will fit on the internal memory. If this is the case you just need to get a memory card for the camera.

If it's actually shutting off the power, there may be a problem with the camera. You could try posting about this problem at

There are people there with a good amount of experience with these cameras.
