My screen stopped working after i decided to plug into a ps3 and tried to connect it and didnt work so i plugged back into laptop still didnt work

Have you used the HDMI cable with the PS3 before? it may be configured to use the AV connection. If so plug in an AV lead, then you would need to find in the settings to change the output to HDMI.

The HDMI cable may not work

Press windows key and P to switch between monitor modes

This works: Turn ps3 on. Plug the controller into the usb cable and into ps3. Then plug the dongle into other usb port. After a short time the dongle will flash quickly (this means it's in pairing mode - when the dongle flashes slowly it's too late). Press the PS/Home button as soon as you see the dongle fast flashing. All the LED's on the controller will begin to flash and after a short time one (or two) will remain solid. Immediately disconnect the charging usb lead from the controller and again the LED's will flash, push the PS/Home button again and after a short time one or two will remain solid. The controller should now be working. If the controller fails to respond repeat this process but make sure that you disconnect the dongle and reinsert (so you can see the fast flashing lights and try again).

Well, connect the guitar to ps3 via usb.. Then press the sync button.. hope that helps :)

You gotta hook the controller back to the system via the usb cord and then press the PS button. Finish the format.

it sound simple but have you tried the button on the back and on the wall if not sounds like a faulty connection

pull plug let sit for 30 min and plug back in. that gives it a chance to reset the hardware

It is likely your internet connection is not working properly.

Unplug your modem, router, PC, and power down your PS3.

Plug in your Modem.
Wait for it to run it's full diagnostics.

Plug in your router and let it do the same.

Power on your computer and let it obtain an IP address.

Then re-try your PS3.

Did you try holding down the Power button until you heard 3 beeps? It is not uncommon for the video output to exceed the resolution of different television. This hard reset feature was added to troubleshoot such a problem, factory resetting the video settings.

for the ps3 just buy a component cable for it and match up the colors
