Question about Kenmore Refrigerators

TheICEMAKER ON MY KENMORE 79571302.012 STOPPED, THE SENSOR arm stays in the up position. I might be able to fix it, but cant figure out how to remove the icemaker. Sears is on no help

2 screws in front were easy, but something in the rear is holding it in. Thinking the arm might be frozen, I tried a heat gin, but no joy. Even if I have to buy a replacement. I still need to remove the old one.

Hello Depedro;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician

Sometimes you may get a ice jam in the ice cube mold. But I think your control module is problem. This is a solid state ice maker and you have to replace the whole unit.

Search the internet for best price. Your part number is:

FS1128MFP Printer. Sensor arm popped out and tells me to remove originals from processor. Arm is not broken and fully intact but I cannot find out where it belongs or how to put it back in.

You must reseat the black sensor flag on the document processor cover. Open the cover and you will see the right position. The flag gets into the optic sensor from the back.

Check the position of the Button Hole Stitch adjuster that is directly under the stitch length control. It looks like a flat head screw and should be straight up and down for normal sewing.

Ice maker won't stop making ice. We put the metal flip facing up and it just keeps making ice. It should stop...right?

If the arm is up and locked in position, it should stop the ice maker. check that the bail arm is indeed pushed into the ice maker head, you will likely have to remove the ice maker with the 1-3 screws holding it in place, to see it. Check also that the other end of the bail arm is attached near the fill cup, if its not attached, that could be the reason. If the arm does not appear to lock in the upright position, or if it does and still does not stop ice production, you will need to replace the ice maker

Replaced wiper arms only stop in vertical position. how do I fix this?

Loosen the nut, (but do not remove the nut) holding the arms on and lift the arm up where the arm is hinged ( where the spring is) and reposition the arm where you want to to be when stopped and tighten the nut back up.

The top rack is not cleaning. When I've run a test, it seems like the top "arm" is not turning or spraying water.

Check the spray arm opening/holes for clogging with debris. If clogged, remove the debris from the holes. Then position the spray arm in a certain position and operate the dishwasher for a minute and stop and check the position of the spray arm. If in the same position, then the arm may not be receiving water from the water pump and/or upper water inlet housing/tubing. Contact an appliance service company.

My sears refrigerator has an ice maker that will not shut off

You will have to remove the icemaker from the freezer so you can see if the plastic is broken that holds the arm in position.

1990 dodge dakota windo wipers

I had the same problem and here is what I did. First remove the wiper arm from the motor using a 7/16 wrench. Once the arm is off remove the old bushing ( mine fell off completely). Next I moved the washer arm so it sticks out of the vent cover. Get the new bushing and line it up to the arm. I then put a socket ( I used 11/16)on the back of the arm and used a c clamp to push the bushing into the slotted hole. Back the clamp off and line up the drive arm with the hole in the bushing and retighten the clamp. Apply pressure until it seats completely.Once done you can replace arm to the motor. Test wipers to see if the bushing is going to stay seated. You are now ready to replace vent cover and cowl.
p.s. I have pictures that need to be resized before I can post
