My wire feed wont work properly its brand new never been used

I am guessing you are as new to the welder as it is to you. I suggest you read the manual carefully and ensure the machine settings (torch tip and drive roller size/pressure) are correct for the wire and type of wire you are using. Ensure also the wire is clean and corrosion free.

Test the wire feed without wire initially, ensuring the wire feed roller turns and the speed varies smoothly as the wire speed control is varied. If there is doubt about this the machine should be returned to the supplier for repair or replacement.

If you are unfamiliar you won't do better than go somewhere that regularly uses a mig welder and ask to observe for a while - your local vehicle workshop perhaps.

My welder won't feed wire it sounds like it's trying to energize but can't. A couple of times it fed through but wouldn't feed to weld so I had stick weld. What happens if the liner has a restriction?

first unscrew the tiny tip at very end of torch (can be hot)!! then try to feed wire thru handle, gently shake cable as you do helps to feed wire thru cable , if successful you have allowed the amps to get too high for the feed rate (slow) and melted the tip closed , these tips are replaceable from miller and are not expensive

My C/H Mig. Mo. WG3000 Wire feed will not spool out smoothly, wire jerks when welding is it a Speed control or Drive deck Please help

As long as the motor keeps turning fluidly, then the fault lies in something blocking the wire. I'd replace all the consumables in the torch (tip, tip adapter, nozzle) and most importantly the liner as it may have become clogged. Also check the rollers for a build up of metal, running them under a wire brush cleans them up well. An other reason could be simply that your wire on its roll has become tangled and is not rolling of its reel nicely.

The wire feed on my welder will not work.

Maybe you can get lucky like I did . Some times the acr volt selector switch gets corrosion in it and wont let the circuit board know to send power to the wire feed motor. You can cycle this arc volt. switch in my case it is the a,b,c,d,e, switch back and fourth a few times and this will brake the corrosion and your wire might feed again as mine did . This corrosion build up happens from not using and or sollecting the switch much usually on a welder at hm that gets very little use. it is common good luck .

105 Turbo Model 90778 welder. Took apart the gun/handle because it was not feeding the wire corretly. Put back together and it shorted out. Don't have an exploded view of the handle, to see if anything...

most wire feed problems stem from WF rollers, liners, clutch mechanism on the reel, or contact tip, very rearly on the torch, Torch units are cheap enough and come in a wide range and lenghs, avoid long length cables unless nessasary. you can obtain a drawing of torches from the torch manufacturers

This fault is typical in most MIG/MAG Units. the feed roller/s need slackening off, pull the trigger so the rollers spin wire the wire not moving, turn the tensioning 1 turn check to see if the wire feeds, if not give a half turn on the tentioner repeat this half turn untill the wire feeds, bend the wire to the torch and pull the trigger, If the wire feeds then thats the correct setting. be awear of all safety rules. use gloves
