Capacitor wearing out on 5v side of the power board, this or these will need changing look for the tops of the capacitors blown up or leaking brown stuff around them and change them for same type ie 10v 487uf dont buy blue type they only 85c temp rating buy 105c rating.

make this test for r.control use the digital camer or cell. When you hit any key you must see the LED ON, otherwise you must open the r.control for to clean da48b13b-b3c2-4350-aea2-883224ce8383.jpg the keypads from dirty, corrosion, etc, use the contact cleaner. tight the spring contacts batteries with plier for better contacts. and use alkaline batteries.

remove rear panel , on the left side when looking at the back you will see several sets of 2 wires connecting to the main board. they tend to short out against each other. use black electrical tape to insulate them where they touch each other.

My sharp 26"lcd tv stuck in standby,wont turn on


I had a same problem with sharp LC-40LE340E. The service told me to change motherboard but I decided to buy a new LG TV.
