How do you turn up the power....it has already tuned it up but not enough power only 150 watts on USB

What is the wattage breakdown for each speaker on my pair of Pioneer CS-N575 3 way speaker towers (I know the total max power combined output is 150 Watts)?


It's the woofer that will use almost all from this 150 W so if you replace woofer take one of 8 ohm which can handle 150 W and you done

First thing to check with a desktop computer problem, is the Power Supply.

No sir,....cannot ASSUME power supply is good, because LED's light up, and fans spin.

1) If ALL the LED's were lit up at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.

2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

3) A typical Processor (CPU) can use 51 to 125 Watts of power.
Just depends on what Processor it is.

Intel Core i7, model 950?

Up To 130 Watts. (TDP. Thermal Design Power, or Thermal Design Point. Whichever you prefer )

Exceeded the spec's I stated.

Power Supply with a weak voltage rail, will have enough power to turn the wimpy little LED's on, and spin fans; but will NOT have enough power to turn the Processor on.

How to know?

Test the 3 main voltages coming out of the Power Supply, with a multimeter set to DC Voltage;

Or,

Temporarily substitute the Power Supply, with a KNOWN to be good, Compatible one.

Borrow from a working computer. Then you can diagnose if this is the problem; and can put it back in the working computer.

The motherboard you have needs at least 150 Watts.
CPU = 130 Watts
Each ram memory module = 15 Watts (DDR3 Sdram)
Harddrive and optical drives around 25 Watts each.
Fans 2 to 3 Watts each.

Your CPU requires 3 ram memory modules at least. 6 can be used.
So........
150 + 130 + 45 + 50 + 6 = 381 Watts.

Bare minimum is 400 Watts, and you should have a 500 Watt power supply. Need at least 10 percent over what is needed; but why play around? 500 Watts.

Have a multimeter?

1) ALL Orange wires are 3.3 Volts
2) ALL Red wires are 5 Volts
3) ALL Yellow wires are 12 Volts.
ALL are DC Voltage.

In comparison two D cell flashlight batteries produce 3 Volts DC.

Also:
When checking a desktop computer, after checking power; and this does no good;

Have ONLY the Processor, processor fan hooked up, and Ram Memory.
That means disconnect EVERYTHING else.

Harddrive, (Power and data cable), optical drive, (Power and data cable), computer case fans, (NOT processor), Card Reader cables, Front Panel USB cables, etc.

All you are trying to do at this point, is see if you can pull the BIOS Setup screen up.
If so then add Harddrive, and computer case fans.

[ Note* This is a fast test. BIOS Setup screen comes up, turn the computer off.
CTRL key, ALT key, and Delete key AT SAME TIME.

You don't want to overheat the motherboard. Primarily the Northbridge chip, and Southbridge chip; of the motherboard chipset.

You're just performing a fairly fast test ]

Intel Core i7 requires THREE ram memory modules, at least.
People have used two, but do not apparently understand the Nehalem technology, and using an Intel Core i7.

turn it down to 1 may 1.5 watts and turn modulation up 95% and add a 500 watt liner to it and you are in business.

What do you mean connect wire to graphics card?

A) Computer is to be OFF when connecting a monitor cable.

B) Computer is to be OFF, and unplugged from power; when plugging the power cable from Power Supply, into it.

You are also supposed to be Following Anti-Static Precautions.

What Power Supply are you using?
Manufacturer name, and model number. Post back in a Comment.

Motherboard requires about 150 Watts by itself.

That isn't including what the Processor (CPU) needs, Ram Memory needs, optical drive/s need, computer case fans need; AND what the Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 graphics card needs.

It needs 225 Watts by itself.

(Manufacturers usually state around 500 Watts MINIMUM.
This is in reality based on a COMPLETE computer system, and NOT just the graphics card itself)

What do I base that the GTX 260 needs 225 Watts?
(I see that as the -> Maximum, though )

A PCI Express x16 expansion slot on a motherboard, is only capable of 75 Watts of power.
That is why the additional power cables were brought out.

The 6-pin PCI Express power cable that plugs into the GTX 260, is capable of an additional 75 Watts of power.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 requires using TWO 6-pin PCI Express power cables

That means 150 Watts of additional power.
75 Watts + 150 Watts = 225 Watts

If you are using just one 6-pin PCI Express power cable, '

What will happen?

A) The PCI Express x16 slot connector oins, will burn
B) The gold plated contact pins on the bottom of the graphics card, will burn.
C) The connector on the graphics card, that the 6-pin PCI Express power cable plugs into, will burn.
D) The connector on the 6-pin PCI Express power cable will burn.

The graphics card will burn up.
Too little power.

IF, your Power Supply has enough power, and IF there are two 4-pin Peripheral power cables that aren't being used; you can use a 6-pin PCI Express power adapter cable.

My computer went blank when turning it on


1) Computer isn't working, due to the Processor isn't working, due to a bad Power Supply.
Weak voltage power rail.

Enough power perhaps to light LED lights, and maybe spin fans, but not enough power to turn the Processor on.

Computer Power Supply's are rated in Wattage.
Volts times Amperes = Watts.
(Average computer power supply in a fairly new computer, is rated at around 300 Watts)

A) ALL of the LED lights combined, use less than 1 Watt of power.
B) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts.
C) A typical Processor may use 51 to 125 Watts.
Depends on what Processor it is.

Power Supply with a weak voltage power rail, can have enough power to light LED lights, spin fans, but not enough to turn the Processor on.

Test the voltages of the Power Supply,

Or, use a KNOWN to be good Power Supply, that has the correct amount of power cables, the right kind of power cables, the correct size, and shape of the case, and enough Wattage, for a test unit..

A bad Power Supply is one of the leading causes of computer failure.

if the inverter is wired to a lighter socket then you do not have enough power as lighter sockets are generally limited to 100-150 watts. If you are using the supplied battery clamps, then is the vehicle running to supply enough power to run your TV?

No. You will need typically 35-40 watts for a LCD monitor. 20 watt may not even run DVD's on your laptop. Look for something 80 watt or so.
