How can i make my samsung wireless sub wf550 work with the rest of my audio system work without the actual soundbar?

My receiver is Onkyo AV Receiver TX-DS575X, Sony DVD/CD Player. I have it all hooked up everything fine with optical cables and I'm getting 5.1 dolby-digital channel for my home theatre and all I need is to create more base when I play my audio system. Please help and thanks!

You can't. that subwoofer can only be paired to the soundbar.

Hello, you do not use HDMI. You connect using an LFE cable from the Sub-woofer output on the receiver to the sub. Thank you, CB

Try differnt speakers, if they do not produce sound, amp channels may be blown and then you need to take it to a shop.

Connect an active soundbar to a receiver

What if the soundbar is Bluetooth? Will I still be able to use that function and connect the active soundbar to the tv (Bluetooth) and connect the av receiver for other surround sound speakers? (they are pre-wired in the walls in the apartment I moved into)

Tv soundbar with a 5.1 receiver

The Onkyo has a center channel pre-out that you can connect the sound bar to. How does the sound bar connect to the TV? Is it two rca jacks, 1 red and 1 white or black? What brand and model is the sound bar?

How do I connect my Acoustimass® 5 Series III Stereo Speaker System to my Onkyo SR506 av receiver?

Well, first of all this speaker system is designed to give you a subwoofer where you do not have a sub-woofer output on your receiver/amp. However, that is not the case with the Onkyo. The way I would set it up (only because of the speakers you have) according to the Acoustimass Manual. You take the left and Right "Speaker" outputs to the Left and Right input on the Acoustimass and the speakers crossover does the rest. The Onkyo is designed to have a powered subwoofer so in this format you would just tell the receiver to turn off the sub channel which would tell the Onkyo to send the low end to LR. That should do it.

Sony HT-CT100 soundbar + STR-DG720 = Yes misery, no audio

It's not going to do whayt you want. On the premise that you can't run a dedicated receiver to a dedicated receiver. One processor is not going to override another. The soundbar is a "self contained" closed system. Much like Bose products. I understand what you are looking for, it just can't be done with this product. Options: replace the sony soundbar with a passive polk soundbar or similar and keep the AV receiver or: Return the AV receiver and use the nice, but limited sony amplified soundbar. Hope this helps

Subwoofer pre-out not working

Make sure that the sub-out is actually activated. I believe that this can be disabled. Otherwise this may be a problem with the surround processing board.
