I have a Lennox Heating/AC furnace - Model CB4-21-1FF-M in which I need a filter. I believe the size should be 12x25x1 but I am not sure. How can I verify what size I need for this furnace.

You're probably measuring the return air opening, inside of the furnace, at the bottom. As long as it covers the opening at the bottom, go with it. Find some means of securing it or holdnit down. And try to go with a common size that's easy to find. 12x25x1" seems to be right.

Need to know what filter i need for furnace

This is probably not a factory specified size. You need to look at the return to your furnace. There should be a frame or housing for the filter. Measure it to see what size you need. These are often customized by the installer to meet the configuration of your ductwork. You need to measure how tal and how wide, but also how deep (thick). If possible always get a pleated filter, and not one of those "horse hair" cheap ones.

We recently purchased a home with a heil furnace and I need to know what size filter it requires. It is a gas heil model # NUG1075DF01. Please help !

That is hard to answer but I would say that for a furnace of that size you are probably looking at somewhere around 16x20x1. On older heil furnaces they often had the filter mounted inside the blower compartment so if the case you can just remove the cover and measure it. If not it should be located on the return air duct close to the furnace. Hope this helps you some. Thank you.

Just moved into a 40 year old house that has an RUUD model UGPH-07EAMGR furnace. Went to check the filter (which of course was loaded), and it was just sitting over the insertion slot. Suspect someone put...

The duct work on the return air can be made to accommodate any size of filter and it may not be the size the furnace takes. Some installers can cut a slot in the outside of the duct and put the filter there, bypassing the manufacturers method of mounting. I would measure the slot or mounting and see what comes close.

Weather King Acclaim 2 Gas furnace efilters

If your furnace is easily accessed in the basement or a closet etc. then likely the filters are located either in the bloer compaertment (the small panel on the furnace) or in the ductwork attached to the furnace. There should be a removable cover. The size varies dedending on the size of your system. When you remove the old one it should be printed on it or you can measure it.
If your furnace is in the attic or a crawl space then you probably have filter grill(s) in your return air. Usually centrally located in the home.
Filters should be changed as needed depending on how you use your system but usually every 30-90 days.

Cant find old furnace filter for model # fguj080abn

The furnace model is irrelevant. The important question is usually the dimensions of the opening for the filters. The most common sizes are 16"x25"x1", 20"x25"x1", 16x25x5, etcetera. There are exceptions such as specialty filters like electronic ones. I suggest using inexpensive pleated filters but you could just use filters that you cut to fit instead. Have a helpful gasfitter assist you if necessary.

Can't find FURNACE filter

First you have to get the old filter/s out. If not it will cause big problems in a short time. Use a coat hanger to grab the filter if you cant reach it. When you remove the old filter you will probably see how to install new ones. I think more than one filter is required for this furnace. Note the sizes of the old filters and buy the same replacements.

Don't worry about cutting some tape if needed. You can get another roll at any hardware supply. If all else fails, measure the interior of the return box and buy the right size filters. Remember, you must remove the existing filters!
