SOURCE: attachments

Most likely will have to replace either the nozzle valve or the hose comes complete, so if the nozzle pieces are available, then replace the complete hose asm.

SOURCE: my steamvac leaks from the clean water tank

you have either a cracked housing, or a valve is stuck open. if you can spray a small amount of wd49 into the valve, and work it a little, youmay be able to dislodge whateverdeposits have built up in there.

Why is water pouring out the bottom when I try to use upholstery attachment?

On many hoover models the hose attaches to the vacuum and is held on by a clip on the hose assembly. There may be some damage to your hose or the place where it attaches to the machine. Inspect these areas trying to locate the point of the leak.

Hoover max extract leaks from end of upholstery hose

Hello! The nozzle/valve assembly, the white piece at the end of the hose that releases the solution may be clogged with build-up residue. Try soaking the trigger end in warm water for a few hours. If this does not help, the nozzle/valve assembly may need to be replaced. Order the nozzle/valve assembly by following this link. Search Results or order the complete hose assembly by following this link. Search Results

Hope this helps!

On my rainbow e series the power nozzle roller isn't spinning when I press the trigger even though all power is working fine. The roller is fairly new. I've also checked that nothing is blocking the hose...

Power must run from the vacuum through the hose where the trigger mechanism closes the circuit and allows power to pass through the hose to the wand, then to the power nozzle. A short or bad connection in any of these areas will cause the power nozzle motor to not run.

Every time I use my New Hoover steam vac it leaks all the time I've tried every thing, I even bought a new tank same problem, I'm not taking it to be repaired its the 3rd one thats done it an

After the second time I would have asked for a refund. Maybe you need to do some diagnostic work.

1. Does it leak while sitting unplugged?
2. Does it leak while plugged in but not being operated?
3 Does it leak when the solution is above or below a certain level.
4. Are you over filling it?
5. Does it leak only when you pull the trigger? (valve problem)

Keep asking yourself questions to discover where and why it's leaking.

Good luck.

You can check a few items:
(1) Is the solution supply hose kinked closed at the bottom of the handle?
(2) Any chance anything clogged the solution line? If anything solid got in the solution tank, even if somebody used powdered soap, it may clog the line.
(3) When you pull the handle trigger with you finger, do you see the rod press down a rubber pad (right behind the base of the solution tank area that it seals to the handle?

Hoover Steam Vac leaks like a sieve

I have the same problem with my hoover steam vac, different model but same problem. So I have had it for 2 years and never used the attachments because the thing leaked out the bottom when i tried. So today I tried to find a solution online and found nothing. So I started toying with the thing and found a solution for my model and I hope it will work for everyone else. I don't have a stair attachment so this goes for the upholstery cleaning attachment. I noticed right where my upholstery attachment connects to get soap, there is a second hole that is covered by a white rubber seal when the cover for the connection area is closed. I put a plastic bag, or anything to seal it, into this hole to make a tight seal. Tried the machine and worked like a champ. So Would be nice if hoover supplied a plug for that, but oh well worked for me hope it works for others with a hoover steam vac.

Remove the bag assembly from the machine.Install the hose to the machine. The upholstery shampooer is simply a trigger assembly with a jar attached.Simply connect the back of the trigger ***'y to the end of the hose.On the attachment case is a cloth covered cap that goes on the other end of the trigger assembly. This is what creates the foam.Fill the jar with shampoo solution.Use the trigger to deposit the foam onto surface.Work the foam into fabric using soft cloth or brush. When it's dry, vacuum the foam and dirt out using the hose attachment on the suction side(front) of the machine
