Offline mode in nokia means your simcard is in the offline. When you try to insert another simcard in the 1st boot of your phone it will say "use in offline mode" just click the "no".
Offline Mode maybe located in Profile Settings. Try getting into Profile Settings and then choose any other Profile. It may ask you to confirm whether to exit Offline Mode/Profile, to which you'll have to say OK or YES, whatever is there as an Option.
if you hold finger on the volume up button dial a box comes up on the bottom of the screen says do you want to stay offline you press no and the phone will reboots itself into normal mode
Ok let me give you solution about this problem.... Offline mode is the mode in cell phones which barred your every calls sms and even your internet connection simply you can say that... It stops all of your connection......and you can use only those things which do not need the connection or network. So to deactivate this offline mode their is two way 1. You can restart your phone after inserting sim card and if the sim card is in good condition and readable then the cell phone will ask you wheather to continue in offline mode? Just press no that is upper right button of your cell phone and it will be deactivated. 2. go to menu, then phone profiles, then change the profile to anything other than offline. offline mode is also known as flight mode which allows you to keep your phone on while on board an aircraft.
when it turns of in offline mode, turn it off again everytime. after few times, it should ask you before the logo shows up "DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE IN OFFLINE MODE?" SELECT NO, AND VIOLA. ITS IN GENERAL MODE

take the sim card and put it bck again.restart it...there it will say "CONTINUE IN OFFLINE MODE?"....select no there...choose another profile and press ok...offline mode will b disabled....
