The scanner is not detecting paper. There's paper in the feeder but I keep on getting and error message stating..."Please set the paper, and press 'OK' button." Code:00000050)

I tried to do what it ask but I keep on getting the same message.

First of all try to factory reset the unit. If that doesn't help then have it serviced at authorized repair shop.

Epson cx3200 printer has printing problem


Hello cockie ,

You can diagnose most problems by checking the control panel LED's for ink out, paper-out or copier problem.
If a problem occurs while you're printing, you'll see an error message in the progress window on your computer.
It may also be helpful to try running a printer nozzle check.

See the following message problems and solutions:

I get the message that says "no paper in auto


Not sure if you get this message on the machine or in the software on you PC. It could be a software setting if it's on the PC that tells it where to pull the docs from. If it's a scanner message it could be an object blocking the paper sensor telling it something is in the feeder. Check the feeder paper path for anything that does not belong there or carefully blow out the paper path with compressed air. Sometime dust collection does this.

This error occur for some reason, please check each one:
1; ADF document feeder is not closed really and
2; You are put the documents into a wrong place
3; the sensor of the ADR is wrong or is dirty (in this case you need a mechanic)

Scanner No Paper Detected Error


There is a narrow FFC cable that connects the sensors between the hoppper assembly and the main scanner unit that may be loose. Check both ends. This cable can also develop small fractures over time. These fractures can cause the sensors to not be noticed by the scanner or give false info. The cable may need to be replaced.

ADF paper jam, when there is none


If you are receiving an Error Code 103 or a Paper Jam error, but there are no pages in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), follow the steps below:
  1. Close the scanning application (such as PaperPort)
  2. Turn off the scanner and the computer
  3. If you have a combination ADF with a Flatbed scanner, unplug the ADF cable from the base of the scanner
  4. Plug the ADF cable back in
  5. Turn on the scanner power
  6. Turn on the computer
  7. Try scanning again
For a Paper Jam or Error Code 103, make sure that the ADF cable in the rear is connected to the scanner base. Check the flatbed to make sure that it is clear. A page incorrectly placed on the flatbed may interfere with a page feeding through the ADF.

If your scanner stops scanning due to a paper jam in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), a warning dialog box appears after a few moments.

To clear a paper jam:
  1. Open the Automatic Document Feeder cover.
  2. Remove the jammed paper and close the cover.
If you are receiving a paper jam error, or if the scanner is running continuously, check to make sure the paper sensor arm is not stuck down.
  1. Open the Automatic Document Feeder cover.
  2. Look for the small black plastic arm
  3. When you press on this arm, it should move freely up and down
  4. If the arm is stuck down, please contact Technical Support for troubleshooting options
  5. Close the ADF cover.
