If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (most often on the rear or side) and the owner's manual doesn't address it, then disassembly will be required.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there. There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), instead.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover. If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

Once it's out of the wall, the outer cover (wrapper) will need to be removed, just as you'll need to do on a counter top model.

On a counter top model, be sure it's unplugged, but otherwise ignore the instructions above this paragraph.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

Sorry, but If you don't know what you are doing with a microwave, I would strongly suggest you take it to a Technician who does. Microwave ovens operate on extremely high voltages. Apart from the radiation risk. These things can kill you if you touch the wrong parts during operation. Some components store electricity for a short time after you turn it off. One of the door switches is a safety switch to prevent people from forcing or trying to override the door locks. It will blow a fuse inside the machine immediately if the door locks / switches don't close or open in a set sequence.

How do I replace the touchpad on a Bosch microwave?

Most microwave manufactures do not sell parts to the public because if you open up a microwave oven and don't get it all back together exactly right, you could receive microwave burns or be blinded when you run it. Best to just take it to the recycling place and get a new one. Seriously, these things are extremely dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

The problem is in the keypad control board and usually means it must be replaced to fix the problem, and the part alone is expensive.

Purchased Bosch Combination Oven/Microwave Ref: E No: HBC84K520B FD NO: 86070009 When press start on microwave it runs then bleeps and shows error message "E9" and stops.

Not sure on Bosch, since it's a non-US brand, but that may be a bad door switch.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

Otherwise, you can get Bosch support here.
