Try disconnecting it from the power (Remove battery for a while) see if the code is now gone.

Restarted Huawei P9 light on Vodacom contract; accepts fingerprint; it asked for sim which was supplied; now asking for "password" but does not accept the number I have.

If by "restarted", you mean restored or reset, then the password that is being asked is the Google password from the previous user of the phone.

Is the phone carrier-locked ? If so, then using sim cards from other carriers will not work on your phone until you get the network unlock code for your specific device.

Dont know backup passsword finger[print not recongized

If you set up your fingerprint to unlock the screen you have set up a high security function for the phone that only the person with the right fingerprint can unlock, meaning not even Samsung tech support can unlock it. Secondly, if you have forgotten the back up password you are pretty much out of luck.

Before you give up, take a break.. when you are no longer feeling frustrated, give it another go.. but before you do, wash your hands first, if too oily it could cause issues.

If you have some Isoprenyl alcohol with a cotton ball or an electronic screen wipe, or even a dry microfiber cloth.. you can try cleaning the fingerprint scanner button should there be any oil or dirt that might be causing the issue.

For some people trying the fingerprint scanner multiple times, even 20 or more times might be necessary to getting it right to unlock it. Whatever you do, don't give up..

If you give up.. your only alternative is to factory reset the device, which will delete/wipe everything on the phone and make it as if you had just bought it out of the box. Everything will be gone: all your settings, files, photos..

How to add fingerprint scanner to screen lock

Hi, here is the way to set a lock screen password or fingerprint scan on the Samsung Galaxy S5 :

  • Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the settings gear icon in the top-right.
  • Tap the Lock Screen icon that should be near the top, in the Quick Settings section.
  • Tap the Screen Lock item at the top of the following screen.
  • Tap the unlock mechanism you would like to use: swipe (a quick left-to-right gesture), pattern (where you draw a pattern on a 9-point grid which must be recreated to unlock), fingerprint (which uses the fingerprint-scanning home button at the bottom of the device), PIN number, or a regular text password.
  • Each one of these methods have their own set-up process, which is presented in the following pop-up windows. Most methods will require you to enter the code twice, and sometimes you'll need to include an alternative password for when the primary method doesn't work.
  • After setting up your unlock type, scroll to the bottom of the Lock screen section, and tap Lock automatically in order to set how long the Samsung Galaxy S5 waits after a screen has shut off to require an unlock password.
If you need to update your fingerprint scan or authorize additional users, find the Finger Scanner section within settings. From there, you can also set an alternative password.
Be sure to check our tips on keeping the screen active too, as well as our other Galaxy S5 help guides. There's also the Galaxy S5 forums if your particular issue isn't solved there. And be sure to read our complete Galaxy S5 review!
Personally, I'm a big fan of the fingerprint sensor, though the ergonomics don't always work out for everyone, and sometimes it takes multiple swipes to work. What's your favorite way of unlocking your device? How long do you set your lock timeout for?

Turn on data and location without unlocking screen

Ohhh. That sucks... Looks like you have run into the largest problem you could have. That's why I have never liked the idea of fingerprint scanners to unlock a phone. The only thing I can tell you to do is to hard reset your phone. Try turning it off and then hold down the power and volume-up (or mabey volume-down) buttons and try to boot it to EFIES mode. Follow the steps to reset by using your volume up/down and power button. That's all I know you can do without it being connected to the internet. If I misunderstood your question or you need more assistance, just let me know!

Hp envy of unlock passeord

Which operating system ???
CMOS (Complementary metal oxide semiconductor) refers to the battery-powered, semi-conductor chip located on an HP computer's motherboard.
It is where the BIOS stores important information regarding the PC's system configuration. CMOS is required for an HP laptop and its hardware to run stably.

Sometimes, however, it is necessary to clear CMOS, such as if you lose your BIOS password or your BIOS is corrupted.
Clearing CMOS on HP laptops varies depending upon the model, but for a lot of laptops, the process simply requires removing the battery for a short period of time.
Power down your HP laptop. Remove the AC adapter and any other peripheral devices. Turn over the computer so that the bottom side is facing up.
Ground yourself, either by touching a piece of unpainted metal or by wearing an anti-static wrist-strap.

Locate the battery. This will vary depending on your laptop's model, but it is usually located on the back, near the rear of the laptop.
Review your laptop's documentation to find the battery, if needed.
Many newer models require that you remove the battery by releasing or holding down one or two latches, then gently pulling the battery out.
Some models may instead require that you unscrew the battery from its compartment.

Leave the battery out of the compartment for at least 30 minutes.
Do not attempt to turn on the computer and do not touch the battery within that time.
Some HP laptops may require you leave out the battery longer to clear CMOS, others might take only 10 to 15 minutes to reset.
Ground yourself, then put the battery back into the HP laptop.
Snap the battery latch into place or screw the cover back on, if necessary.

Disable Fingerprint on an HP Laptop
Many HP laptops include a fingerprint scanner to enhance the security of your computer.
When the fingerprint scanner is enabled, the computer requires a fingerprint scan to log onto Windows.
Disable the fingerprint scanner if you do not need or want this feature.
With the fingerprint scanner disabled, you can log on to Windows using a password.
You can enable the fingerprint scanner anytime you need to.
Access the Device Manager on your computer.
Select "Control Panel" from your computer's Start menu.
Click "Hardware and Sound" and then click "Device Manager."

Find "Personal identification devices" in the "Device Manager" list.
Click the "+" sign next to "Personal identification devices."
This opens a list of all of your devices.
Click on "Validity Sensor."
Select the "Driver" tab at the top of the properties window and click "Disable" to disable your fingerprint scanner.
The button changes to "Enable" and you can enable the fingerprint scanner at any time.
Click "OK" to exit out of the window.
