I've had a dig around online but found no free downloads although I doubt there would be a wiring diagram other than a schematic one. Your best quickest bet would be to get an appliance engineer to have a look as they may know where the leads go anyway.

How to replace grill element

You can get all the basic elements from Home Depot or Canadian Tire, or your local appliance spares place. Take the old one with you.

to remove them, turn off the power. Access is from the rear of the stove behind a cover in the place that corresponds to the back of the element. They have screws nuts and washes that hold the wire. Remove the wires to the terminals. Then go to the inside of the oven and remove the two screws that hold the element. Take that with you and get a new one. Fitting is the reverse of removing

The grill (Upper Oven Grill Element) in the oven is not working, I realized the 4 wires at the back that connect to it are all loose. Can i fix it by connecting them myself? is it something dangerous or...

With 4 terminals, it sounds like a double grill element. But it could also be a single grill element with a second oven element. If the spade connecters are loose they need to be tightened first. Get a pair of pliers and gently squeeze the terminals until the gap reduces so when it slides on it will be tight. Do you know what wires go where? If so reconnect them. If you don't do the following;
As you look at the element terminals they should run horizontally. Look at the element inside the grill compartment. From left to right, the no. 1 and no. 4 terminals should be the same element and the no. 2 and no. 3 terminals should be the other element. If this is correct put the 2 neutral wires, in any order, on terminals 1 and 2 and the active terminals on 3 and 4. This should work. You just have to check the correct element comes on when you operate the grill/oven controls.

Creda Concept Solarglo Cooker. Grill not working. Elements seem ok as top oven works fine. Any ideas gratefully accepted! Thanks in anticipation.

Most common problem is that the grill element is probably faulty/blown. Also check the wiring at the grill element terminals as wiring sometimes burns off. The grill controllers don't normally get faulty as they generally last a lot longer than the elements.

When I turn on the electric grill it starts to warm up and then trips out the circuit. It is a new oven we have had in storage for a few years

I would suggest that there is a problem with the grill element, if it only trips out when using the grill, then it will probably need a new element fitting.
If the rest of the oven is working o/k, then that should cure it.

I need to replace the bottom element in my oven

You need to check the heating element for continuity and the thermistor for continuity. Use an ohmmeter or multimeter to check. The element should not be any reading over 24 ohms for a 220-250V supply and not over 12 ohms for a 110Vac supply. A good tip is to take digital photos of the job before starting on removing and testing wiring etc so that you can refer back to it if you have to replace any items or forget which wires attach to any particular terminal etc.

To test and replace the element:

  1. Turning off the mains power to the oven.
  2. Remove the lower back panel. Fan assisted ovens will have a coiled 2 or 3 turn element around the outside of the fan.
  3. Remove the 2 power connectors to the grill element if one is fitted.
  4. Check the element resistance reading on the main oven heating element and not the grill element.
  5. The thermistor or fusible link is located on top of the oven cavity if fitted and has two wires attached to it - most likely to be red and black or both white wires.
  6. Remove the earthing wire to the main oven heating element screw terminal.
  7. Unscrew the grill element securing screws(s) - there will be 1 or 2 depending on the element fitted to your oven. Do this from inside the oven cavity itself.
  8. Refit the new element (make sure it has the same mounting screw holes as the one you want to remove) then secure it.
  9. Reconnect the earthing wire to the element screw post.
  10. Make sure that neither of the element tags touch the chassis - check with a continuity tester of ohm meter and adjust if required.
  11. Reconnect the power cables to the main oven heating element.
  12. Reconnect the power cables to the grill element if one is fitted.
  13. Reconnect the power and check that the element works correctly.
  14. Disconnect the mains power again and replace the rear panel(s).
  15. Reconnect the mains power and recheck that the oven, and if appropriate the grill, functions correctly.

Oven problem

Check that the solar plus grill element is working properly by selecting full grill, the whole element should heat up, if only half element heats up , then you need to fit a new grill element complete.
If the grill element is o/k , then it is possible the top oven base element is faulty, to check that is working, put top oven on and after a few minutews feel the base of the top oven, and it should be hot to the touch if it is not, then the base element has probably failed , and you will need to fit a new one.
These are the possible reasons for it to heat up slowly.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Fan and grill works but not heating up

Hi.
If the fan is working o/k, then you need a new fan oven element fitting.
Remove panel at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the element, undo any screws you can see to remove rear cover.
disconnect element taking care not to loose wires, and fit new element. test before you refit rear cover.
Plz rate this solution.Thanks
