Thule Hullavator arm does not automatically lift as other arm does....seems to be leaking fluid?

Hullivator lift cylinders are pneumatic, there is no fluid to leak. However, they do fail, and when they do, they do not provide lift. Despite what Thule says, the cylinders can be replaced. I have replaced 4 of them. Drill out the rivets holding the old cylinders in place. I bought new cylinders from LiftSupportDepot.com - they were very helpful and they charged a little less than $30 each for the cylinders. The first cylinders were 75 pound lifts. Those my sister found too light to provide all the lift she wanted. I have since installed 150 pound lifts (this will require a clamp). I cut off, and reused, the longer of the original Thule rivets where the shorter rivet formerly was, and used a 5/16ths 4" stainless bolt in place of the longer rivet. It will take a couple of tries and some prying to get all the holes lined up for that last bolt, under pressure, but in retrospect it will all seem to have been surprisingly easy. Good luck.

Brakes will not lock in parking position

There are adjusters on the brake cables that are designed to solve this problem. The cables for the brakes run inside a flexible housing. When you squeeze the handle, the cable should engage the brake. The problem is that the cables inside the housing stretch over time and do not work as well. There is a threaded adjuster at the handle where the housing of the cable goes into the handle. If you turn this adjuster counterclockwise it will, in effect, make the housing longer and the brake cable tighter (shorter). This should engage the brakes better. It make take some trial and error, turning the threaded adjusters clockwise and counter-clockwise to get the proper setting for your strength and comfort. This same adjustment technique applies when you pull the handles down in the park position and when you squeeze them to slow down. Hope this helps.

The handle on our Marcato Atlas 150 keeps getting stuck and is difficult to pull out for storage. Any ideas?

I opened the rollers to the widest setting (Zero), and placed a folded business card between the rollers. I then turned the dial down so the rollers were "pinching" the card, and while keeping tension on the dial to gently squeeze the card, I gently shook the handle for a few seconds and it came out!

Cant get back door to stay closed . The lock is stuck in locked position I think and the door is open. When I go to close it, it is'nt staying closed. Had to duck tape it to stay closed. LOL! I keep...

It sounds to me ( correct me if I'm wrong ) like the door latch on the side vertical edge of the door is in the LOCKED POSITION. In order to unlock it perform the following. First electrically with the LOCK button UNLOCK the locks. Now with one hand hold the OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE IN THE OPEN POSITION, while at the same time FLIPPING OPEN THE LATCH. All Done . Now you can close the door. Hope this helps

How do I use a Blackburn Mountain air pump?

Dear Doug, to lock a hand pump onto the valve stem: 1.depending on valve type-loosen the valve lock for presta, twist off valve cap for schrader. 2.unlock the pumping handle from the pump so that you can actually "pump" the pump... 3. put the pump head on the valve of the tire, then pull up on the thumb tightening lever. This should squeeze toghether the internal rubber gasket of the pump, and lock on to your valve. 4. Begin pumping. 5. when desired pressure has been reached, push down on the thumb lever to unlock the pump. Remove it. Good Luck Fellow bicyclist!

Bissell Proheat Problem

Take the top part of the handle off, make sure that the rod in the handle is moving up and down when squeezing the trigger. The lower part of the handle has a valve that the handle rod pushes on, it make be stuck in the open position.
