SOURCE: forgot my email id & password of one mail id

Hi Kuruvilla
Since you are desparate in getting the old email back, I believe the email address shown above belongs to someone else.
It is easier to get a brand new email address from yahoo or gmail or hotmail. The company's give you email address and they delete it as soon as the employee leaves the company.
So, my suggestion is not to waste time chasing the email address which probably does not exist.
Goto www.gmail.com and signup for a new email address.
Best of luck

SOURCE: Not able to retreive my Yahoo ID

If you remember the alternate email address you used to create the account, you can use that to retrieve your Yahoo ID.
However, if you didn't use an alternate email address when you signed up, then there's really no way to retrieve your old Yahoo! email address due to the fact that its encrypted within Yahoo's database, and they cannot access your email address either.

SOURCE: After typing my ID and password the computer will

Hi,

It only indicates that either the username or password is incorrect or you must be typing a password for a different email and not the one you are trying to logon to. Now we have steps to follow to resolve this issue. First, retype your username and password plus type the text you see in the box. The text in the box will tell Yahoo that you are a person and not a bot. If that does not work, we another option. Two, clcik on the Forgot My Password link. It will ask you a security question which you setup when you created the account. After answering the security question you will be automatically logged on to your account. And for safety reasons, I do advise you to change your password and also the security question so that if ever someone accessed your account and changed the password because he/she knows the security question, then it stops there. Make a security question which only YOU know what the answer is.

I hope it helped you out. Rating my assistance will greatly be appreciated. Should you have any followup questions feel free to post it here and I always get back to my resolutions. Thank you for choosing FixYa! Have a good one.

Not being able to access your Yahoo! account is frustrating.
If someone has broken into your account and changed your password, or if you have forgot your password, you may be temporarily unable to access your Yahoo! account.

Fortunately, Yahoo! offers a solid password recovery process that allows you to retrieve your password and log in to your account within a few minutes.

Visit your Yahoo! log in page.
Beneath the sign in box, click "I Can't Access My Account."

Select "I Forgot My Password" and click "Next."
Type your Yahoo ID and complete the "Captcha" code.

Click "Next." If you cannot read the puzzle, click "Can't Read Code."
A new code will be automatically generated.

Choose the option to verify your identity.
If you signed up for Yahoo! cellular-password recovery, you'll see an option to receive a text message.

Click "Next" to have the text message sent.
Use the temporary password to log in to your Yahoo! account; then change your password immediately.

Answer your secret question if you are not signed up for Yahoo cellular-password recovery.
Click "Next."

Depending on your preferences, you may also have to select your date of birth and zip code.
After answering the question, you'll be able to create a new password and access your Yahoo! account.

If this fails to get any results
If the Yahoo! account password or ID retrieval methods don't work, you may want to create a new Yahoo! account.

This is done by following the "Sign Up" link at the top of the Yahoo! homepage, next to the "Sign In" link mentioned earlier.

If you choose to create a new account, be sure to remember the alternate email and cellular number you provide in case you find yourself in a similar situation down the road.

Change my yahoo password

Forgot My Yahoo! ID & Password

Forgetting your Yahoo! password or ID can happen to anyone, Yahoo! has established procedures for you to retrieve both without having to create a new account.

The password and ID retrieval process is a short and simple one, but you must follow it exactly. The forgotten password process does not give you the password you created when signing up for the account, it gives you a new one, which you can change later.

Forgotten Password

To recover your Yahoo! account password, click on the "Sign In" link from the Yahoo! homepage, which will take you to the "Sign in to Yahoo!" page.

Follow the "I can't access my account" link directly below the yellow "Sign In" button. Select the "I forgot my password" radio button on the next page and then click "Next."

Enter your Yahoo! ID and the code as it is shown and then click "Next."
From the following page, choose whether you want your password sent to the alternate email address or cellular phone number given when the account was created, and then click "Next."

An email is then sent to your alternate email address or cellular phone inviting you to reset your password.

Forgotten ID

From the Yahoo! homepage, follow the "Sign In" link located near the top of the page.
On the next page, click on the "I can't access my account" link directly below the yellow "Sign In" button.

On the next page, you must provide the alternate email address, birth date, country of residence and postal code given when the account was created.

When finished, click on the "Next" button and your ID will be emailed to your alternate email address.

Password Security Questions

If you do not have access to the alternate email address or cellphone number provided when the Yahoo! account was created, you must click the "I can't access any of the above" radio button on the "Please select an option to reset your password" page.

After clicking "Next," you must provide the answers to the security questions selected when the account was created before you are able to reset the account's password.

When All Else Fails

If the Yahoo! account password or ID retrieval methods don't work, you may want to create a new Yahoo! account.

This is done by following the "Sign Up" link at the top of the Yahoo! homepage, next to the "Sign In" link mentioned earlier.

If you choose to create a new account, be sure to remember the alternate email and cellular number you provide in case you find yourself in a similar situation down the road.
Yahoo Email Password

When you sign up for a free Yahoo! account, you gain access to the extensive features of the Yahoo! community and receive a free email account.

As with any account, it is a wise idea to change your Yahoo! password a few times a year in order to ensure its security.

Knowing where to go in Yahoo! to change your password will allow you to do it quickly.

Sign into your Yahoo! email account.

Click on your Yahoo! name at the top of the webpage to access drop-down options.
Select the "Profile" option.

Your account page will open.
Place your cursor over "Account Info" in the toolbar.
Options will again drop down.

Click "Change Password."

Type in your current Yahoo! email password in the first text box.
Enter your new Yahoo! password in the lower two text boxes.

Click "Save."

Your Yahoo! password is now changed.

Invalid ID or password. Please try again using your full Yahoo! ID, and type the text you see in the picture below.

Remember some Passwords and most Captcha codes are case sensitive and require you to use both upper case and lower case as well as numbers. If even one letter is wrong you will be turned down.

are you able to access your data services. If you dont have access to your mobile internet IM will fail. IM services use text messaging and wap access. Make sure you have both.
If you do try to log on with IM short codes.
Text in [Yahoo! ID] [password] to 92466. Do not include quote marks, brackets or commas. For example, if your Yahoo! ID is chatsalot77 and your password is 123456, your text should read : in chatsalot77 123456. Leave a space between in, your Yahoo! ID and your password, as illustrated.
  • You will receive a text message confirming that you are logged into Yahoo! Messenger on your mobile device.
  • To log out: Text out to 92466.
  • Alot of the time after this is successful you can log off through the menus in the phone and be able to log on successfully.
