Question about Lanzar SNV695N

1 Answer

Why don't the hard buttons on the device not light up? I set it to give the blue lighting, but it doesn't. Not handy for night time driving. Thanks, Jules.

They should come on when you turn your vehicle lights on. If not, there may be a wiring issue.

How do you turn on the night owl nods3

Hello, First, don't turn on this Night Owl NODS3 during the day...Bright lights will destroy the image intensifier tube in mill-seconds. It used on during the dark hours of the night and look at bright city lights on the poles on homes.

You have two button; one with have o/1 (on/off) then the second but would be the IR light and it will have the IR on and some time there will be another button mark A and this button is used to enhance the image.

To turn on the button--all you have to do is to push it. Only in a dark room with IR button on. and only in the dark of the night. If it doesn't work then let me know drawbridge21@q.com send me a message. GB...stewbison

I'm running it on a laptop with windows vista home edition. All worked well until I dropped it. The pc doesn't detect it anymore, the blue lights don't flicker anymore, and it makes a ticking...

Dropping a hard drive is never a good thing. They are very sensitive moving parts inside a hard drive and they don't take well to falls. It sounds to me like there was some damage when you dropped it and it may no longer work properly. The clicking is the hard drive trying to read the data and failing. You mentioned that it seemed to come back to life a couple of times...try and recover the data if you can, and contact Western Digital Tech support if you are still under warranty. Hope that helps!

LaCie 250Gb drive does not power up

It's the power supply connection in the HD case has failed. Try the HD in another case (if you have one handy) to check whether this is the problem. If so, find a replacement case.

I sounds as if it is a hard-drive activity light (it will flicker to indicate that the hard-drive is either being written to or read).

Even though you are not doing anything on the computer, the operating system or other programs may well be up to something in the background which are causing the hard-drive to be accessed.

I wouldn't worry about it!

Blue power light is flashing red and the hard drive won't mount

Hi Vieve, The manual says nothing about flashing red and blue nor could I find anything of any real substance. Basically this thing is a box containing an IDE hard drive and some electronics that interfaces the drive with firewire, power distribution and a few other odds and ends. I suspect the board that contains the electronics may be damaged, however, its entirely possible that this may be some undocumented error that can be reset. I would try calling the vendors tech support, it?s at least worth a shot. If getting your data off is the concern it might be worth your time to buy another enclosure, install your drive and plug it into your Mac. There is a good chance your data is recoverable. Sorry I couldn?t get you a more definitive answer.
