Loose connection at the ignition switch causing an off on cycle If this is the case all lights that come on before the engine starts may flash. Also on the drivers side forward of the engine there is a fuse box with the relays (fuel and others) Check each for security and condition. they pull out like a fuse.

Blade control will not engage. Engine will not start.


Well, If it worked last time...I would say it is the gas..moisture..
if not, then both ends of your cable. If nothing moves. it is either broke or came undone from lever by engine. I lean toward the gas, especially if it sat up all winter. (A new plug would be a good idea,Stranger things have happened) I had to do that to mine.

Instructions
    • 1 Locate the red button on the top of the handlebars. This is called the "kill switch." When you pull it up the engine can run; when you push it down, the engine will shut off immediately.
    • 2 Pull the kill switch up.
    • 3 Turn the key to the "on" position.
    • 4 Make certain the cord running from the key is attached to the steering column. This device acts in the same manner as the kill switch - the engine will run only when it is secured.
    • 5 Pull the start cord, which looks like an enlarged lawnmower pull-cord and is generally found on the right side of the machine.
    • 6 Listen to the engine - if it starts, let it get going slowly . If it "pops" but does not continue to run, try pulling the start cord a few more times. If you do not hear the engine turn over at all, proceed to the next step.
    • 7 Find the pull tab under the right side of the handlebars. This is called the choke - it often has a circle with a diagonal line through it. The choke helps to start an engine when the weather is very cold or the machine hasn't been used in a while. When using the choke, try leaving it on only long enough to hear the engine fire a couple times, then return it to the "off" position. A choke left on too long can flood the engine.
    • 8 Place the choke in the vertical position - this is called the half choke position. Pull the start cord several times. If the engine fires up, place the choke back down to its original position and let it slowly warm up. If the engine still has trouble starting, proceed to the next step.
    • 9 Pull the choke 180 degrees from its original position - this is called the full choke. Pull the start cord until the engine sputters a couple times.
    • 10 Replace the choke to the original off position and continue to pull the cord. The engine should fire up and settle into a steady hum, ready for fun in the snow.

I have a poulan 6.25 self propelled mower that wont start soun like its not getting fire


First make your kill handle is pulling your cable all the way back.Sometimes the cable will rust or even break inside its sheathing. to test take a peice of wire and tie it off by pulling the arm all the way back then start it. If that works replkace kill cable

hard to mow a lawn pulling the starter cord all the time,lol,,,ok, no spark...you have an engine control bar at top of handle, cable runs from it to engine brake, and this is also engine kill switch. sounds like this cable has stretched. this cable controls engine brake and also kills the spark. you have two problems, and this controls both.

After a clean cycle there is no power to the oven elements. The controls and fan still work


self clean can get up to temps over 1000f never self clean unless u must,, its just so dam hot inside.. u prob blow a thermostat on the backside unfortunelty u prob will have to remove the side trim and pull that oven outta the hole a lil bit ... kill the power,, i would prob call for service its prob gonna need two people or an oven cart.. gotta remove the back plate housing and test that thermostat, prob be between 30-90 dollars for the part plus the service call, or u could do it if u got some strappin young men willing to give a hand, check it out though hope this helps bye bye

Tecumsen Engine Vector (VLV - Series) no spark


there may be another kill switch on the throttle or the kill wire is improperly or not on the brake mechanism at all. Have you tried another plug? I have had brand new ones NG right out of the box. Does the control cable have an adjustment on it maybe it needs to pull a bit more. Good luck CB

BM - After Self-Clean Problem -- 30


Brain, check your thermal fuse first. You can do this at the board. lower oven, p26-2 orange or p26-4 red wire to red wire at the terminal block. Should show closed circuit. Upper oven, p18-4 red or p18-1 red to red wire at terminal block. Should read closed circuit. If open, there is your problem. Control transformer is as follows, primary windings, P16-5 red to p16-7 red, 75 to 95 ohms. Secondary windings, p16-2 blue to p16-3 blue , 2 to 4 ohms. I do believe your problem is in the thermal fuse on the back. Post back, Catriver
