My Pavilion g6-1b79dx notebook will not charge even with a new battery and charger. The light indicating the charger is plugged in is blinking white

When you say it won't charge, does it charge at all?

1. It indicates that it is charging, but as soon as you unplug the charger the battery quickly or immediately indicates it is dead. If the laptop is off, the LED on the laptop shows it is charging but the battery is always dead,

2. It is as if you didn't have the charger plugged in. No light on the laptop at all when the charger is plugged in.

Possible solutions:

1. The battery has died and is no longer capable of taking a charge. An alternate explanation if you can't even get the laptop to turn on even though the laptop charge LED is on, is that the internal power supply that converts the incoming and battery voltage to all the voltages required has died.

2. The power connector inside the laptop is a common failure point. The solder joints break from various minor shocks over time. This is going to become more common with lead-free solder as it is more brittle. Less likely is that the charging circuit inside the laptop has failed.

My laptop is not charging but the cbarger is working.

its your battery problem its a simple process remove the battery and the part is get a nail filer and then you can see on the battery that there are golden kind on teeth but there is a space in each of them try to rub the nail filer on the space so it cleans the teeth of the battery it should be between 1 teeth and 1 space then you will see some black kind of thing coming out its carbon ,now then on the laptop and then put the battery back to it with some force your problem is solved

Laptop won't charge

You might need a new battery....you could try removing the battery, plug laptop into ac and restarting. Or you might need a new DC power jack. If you wiggle the cord where it plugs into the laptop, and it starts to charge normally, then the DC power jack needs replacing. http://www.insidemylaptop.com/take-apart-sony-vaio-vgn-s360p-replace-broken-power-jack/

When i plug the charger into my dv600 notebook the little blue light comes on but it dosen't charge the battery nor does, nor can da pc power on even though the charger is in but if i put a charged battery...

There's a hardware problem with the motherboard if that's the case. Most tech shops can't fix it or will bother to fix it. Most will just swap the motherboard out. DV6000 is a decent laptop but they've got a lot of none motherboard issues. I'd recommend upgrading to a new laptop.

Hope this info helps.

Oh, believe it or not. My computer use to do the same thing all the time. Just take the prongs on the plugin and bend them outwards slowly. This will make a tighter fit in the outlet.
